Indicated for eye conditions caused by wind-pathogen invasion and deficiency-fatigue, presenting with heat-induced dim vision and internal dizziness:
Shijueming (Haliotidis Concha, calcined), Shidan (Chalcanthite), Guangmingsha (Realgar or similar mineral), Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, steamed), Kongqing (Azurite), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, not soaked in water), Qingxiangzi (Celosiae Semen), Juemingzi (Cassiae Semen, soaked in bitter wine for three days then dried), Ruiren (Buckwheat Flower Bud), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Liyu dan (Cyprini Carassii Bile), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma).
The above twelve ingredients are taken in equal proportions, pounded, mixed with honey, sifted through silk gauze, and ground in a stone mortar until extremely fine. The powder is mixed with Cyprini Carassii Bile to form pills the size of Chinese wheat berries (Wuzi). After sun-drying and grinding into powder, store in a copper vessel to prevent leakage. Each time, take an amount the size of a yellow rice grain and instill into the eye. Administer once day and night, gradually increasing the dose until efficacy is observed.
Indicated for improving vision:
Difuzi (Kochiae Fructus, 2 he), Lanzi (Isatidis Seed, 2 he), Jilizi (Tribuli Fructus, 2 he), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 5 he), Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus, 5 fen), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen, 2 he), [Missing Character] (2 he), Qingxiangzi (Celosiae Semen, 2 he), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 2 liang), Juemingzi (Cassiae Semen, 5 he).
The above fourteen ingredients are pounded and sifted. Mix with refined honey and take with drink. Administer fifteen pills the size of Chinese wheat berries per dose, which may be increased to twenty pills. Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 zhu), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 1 zhu), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, 1 zhu), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 4 zhu).
The above four ingredients are finely sifted, wrapped in cotton, moistened with saliva at the tip, and instilled into the eye. Keep eyes closed; tearing will occur and stop spontaneously after a moment. Do not touch with hands, and do not wash with cold water.
Another prescription:
Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 fen), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, 1 fen), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 1 fen), Fanshi (Alumen, calcined for half a day, 1 fen).

Boil Lophatheri Herba in 12 sheng of water to obtain 7 sheng of liquid. Remove the residue, clarify the liquid, then boil Gypsum Fibrosum in it to obtain 1.5 sheng. Remove the residue again, add Rehmanniae Radix Juice and boil twice. Add Red Honey to obtain 3 sheng. Drink slowly.
Indicated for red eyes:

Xingren Zhi (Almond Oil, 1 he), Yanyu (Green Vitriol, date-pit size), Yin Cheng Yan (Processed Salt, 3 pieces).
First, pound Almond kernels into oil-like consistency, place in a cloth bag, steam until hot, and squeeze out the oil. Place the oil in a honey container, add the other medicines. Sit upright and immerse the eyes in the mixture, covering tightly for seven days and nights. At night while sleeping, gaze into the mixture four times. Do not exceed seven times; stop when cured.
Indicated for red eyes regardless of duration:
[Typos in original, likely a mineral sand] (3 liang).
Soak this single ingredient in vinegar slurry in a vessel, expose to sunlight for three days. When the medicine adheres to the vessel walls and the edges dry, scrape off the material. Take amounts the size of millet seeds. Instill into both eyes at night, no more than three or four times, for permanent cure. Using Shiyan (Rock Salt) and Shidan (Chalcanthite) together is especially good.
Indicated for red eyes, dizziness, and white membrane obscuring the pupil:

Grind the five ingredients into powder, mix with Ru Zhi (Milk), and instill into both eyes at night.
Indicated for foreign body sensation causing blurred vision:
Beat sheep or deer tendons and tear them apart like peeling sinew. Chew the tendon thoroughly in the mouth. Apply the chewed mass onto the eyelid aligned with the pupil. Press gently on the eyelid with your hand. If a foreign body is present, after fourteen days, it will come out. Stop when you see the foreign body exiting with the tendon. If not yet out, repeat. Perform this method usually in the early morning before sunrise, until cured. After removal, instill high-quality honey into the canthi; Cyprini Carassii Bile is also good. If eye pain recurs frequently, treat every other day.
