取蒜七瓣，正月一日正面向东，令妇人念之一遍，夫亦诵一遍，次第丈夫吞蒜一瓣，吞
麻子七枚便止，丈夫正面向东行，诵满七遍，不得见秽恶。受持之法，不用见尸丧，见即无
验。吾蹑天刚游九州，闻汝产难故来求，斩杀不祥众喜投，母子长生相见面，不得久停留。
急急如律令。
唾运鬼法（丈夫从妇人口中受取，妇人从男夫口中受取）∶
天无梁地无柱，五骑三龙使九虎押运鬼汝身长少许，或在人心肝，或在人心肺，或在人
心膂。吾受东海王禁，故来追捉汝。急急如律令。
禁运鬼法∶
先禹步三匝，左手持刀，右手持水，努目急气，然后禁之喷之曰唾。东方青运鬼字青姬
年七十，南方赤运鬼字赤姬年六十，西方白运鬼字白姬年五十，北方黑运鬼字黑姬年四十，
中央黄运鬼字黄炬年三十。唾天皇地皇六律九章，是公运子之鬼未嫁之女。头乱如产，腹胀
如莒，克害忠良，唾汝急出，不得留藏，汝若不去，吾遣张丞伯捉汝缚送镬汤。急急如律令
（一云运子之鬼，未嫁之女，头乱如筐，腹胀如莒，但行人间，不见运女，唾之还本，主速
出速出，更不见汝，张丞伯王问驱杀运鬼数万千，速断因缘东唾无辜，恶见运来相呼南唾无
极，恶见运鬼来相逼，唾三寸刀二寸刃，先治反支却治运，唾太山东门一把苇举高十丈治运
鬼初来如辟蜂不着，余处当眉聚一杯水唾运去。须臾。不去当自死。急急如律令）。
禁产难方∶
先禁水一杯与服之，乃禁曰∶天有余阳，地有五行，星辰列布，日月精明，四时变化，
不失其常，骨肉已成，四体已强，毛发已就，今是生时，生迟何望。河伯在门，司命在庭，
日月已满，何不早生？若男若女，司命须汝促出无迟，并持胞衣。急急如律令。
Take seven cloves of garlic. On the first day of the first lunar month, face east. Have the woman recite it once, and her husband also recite it once. Then, in sequence, the husband swallows one clove of garlic and seven hemp seeds (Cannabis Fructus), then stops. Spitting Method for Expelling the Labor-Demon (The husband receives from the woman's mouth, and the woman receives from the husband's mouth):
Heaven has no beams, Earth has no pillars. Five riders and three dragons command nine tigers to escort the Labor-Demon. Your body shrinks slightly, or you reside in the human heart and liver, or in the human heart and lungs, or in the human heart and spine/back muscles. I accept the prohibition of the King of the East Sea, thus I come to pursue and seize you. Quickly as the law commands.
Prohibition Method for the Labor-Demon:
First, perform the Yu Step (a ritual dance step) circling three times. Hold a knife in the left hand and water in the right hand. Stare fiercely and breathe rapidly, then prohibit and spit, saying: Spit upon the Eastern Green Labor-Demon, named Qing Ji, aged seventy; Spit upon the Southern Red Labor-Demon, named Chi Ji, aged sixty; Spit upon the Western White Labor-Demon, named Bai Ji, aged fifty; Spit upon the Northern Black Labor-Demon, named Hei Ji, aged forty; Spit upon the Central Yellow Labor-Demon, named Huang Ju, aged thirty. Spit upon her to return to her origin, primarily urging quick exit, quick exit, never to see you again. Zhang Chengbo and Wang Wen drive away and kill tens of thousands of Labor-Demons, swiftly severing karmic ties. Spit east at the innocent, spit south at the infinite, hating to see the Labor-Demon approaching. Spit upon the three-inch blade and two-inch edge; first treat the Fan Zhi condition, then treat the Labor-Demon. Spit upon a bundle of reeds from the East Gate of Mount Tai, raised ten zhang high to treat the Labor-Demon. When the Labor-Demon first arrives, it avoids contact like shunning bees; elsewhere, gather a cup of water and spit to drive the Labor-Demon away. Prescription for Prohibiting Difficult Labor:
First, prohibit a cup of water and have the patient drink it, then prohibit saying: Heaven has surplus Yang, Earth has the Five Elements. Stars are arranged in order, Sun and Moon shine brightly. The four seasons change without losing their regularity. Flesh and bones are formed, limbs are strong, hair and nails are complete. Now is the time of birth; why delay further? The River God is at the gate, the Si Ming (Lord of Life/Destiny) is in the courtyard. The sun and moon are full (time is ripe); why not give birth early? Whether male or female, Si Ming must urge you to exit quickly without delay, bringing the placenta with you. Quickly as the law commands.
