主妇人产后心虚不足，虚悸少气，心神不安，或若恍恍惚惚不自觉方∶
甘草（三两，炙） 人参 泽泻 桂心（各一两） 大枣（五枚） 远志（去心） 茯
苓麦门
冬（去心） 菖蒲 干姜（各二两）
上一十味，捣筛为末，炼蜜和丸如大豆许，酒服二十丸，日四五服，夜二服，不知稍增
，若无泽泻，用术代之，若胸中冷增干姜。
主妇人产后心虚不足，心下虚悸，志意不安，时复愦愦，腹中拘急痛，夜卧
不安，胸中吸吸少气。药内补伤损，益气，安志定心，主诸虚损方∶
远志（去心） 茯苓 桂心 麦门冬（去心） 泽泻 干姜 人参 当归 独活 阿胶

菖蒲 甘草（炙） 白术（各三两） 干地黄（五两） 薯蓣（二两）
上一十五味，捣筛为末，炼蜜和丸如梧子。空腹温酒服二十丸，日三服，不知稍加至三
十丸。大虚身体冷少津液，加钟乳三两为善，钟乳益精气，安心镇志，令人颜色美，至良。
主产后大虚，心悸，志意不安，恍惚不自觉，心中畏恐，夜不得眠，虚烦少气

作膏）
菖蒲 泽泻 薯蓣 干姜（各二两）
上一十味，捣筛为末，炼蜜枣膏和丸如梧子大。空腹酒下二十丸，日三夜一服，不知稍
增至三十丸。若有远志得二两纳之为善。气绝纳当归独活各三两更善。此方亦治男子虚心悸
不定，至良。
Indicated for postpartum women with Heart Qi deficiency and insufficiency, presenting with palpitations due to deficiency, shortness of breath, restlessness of the Shen (Spirit), or symptoms resembling trance-like states and unconsciousness. Formula:
Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata, 3 liang, honey-fried), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Zexie (Rhizoma Alismatis), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, each 1 liang), Dazao (Fructus Jujubae, 5 pieces), Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae, heart removed), Fuling (Poria), Maidong (Radix Ophiopogonis, heart removed), Shichangpu (Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii), Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis, each 2 liang).
The above ten herbs are crushed, sifted into powder, mixed with refined honey, and formed into pills the size of soybeans. Take 20 pills with wine, four to five times daily, and twice at night. If the effect is insufficient, slightly increase the dose. If Zexie is unavailable, replace it with Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae). If cold sensation in the chest worsens, increase the amount of Ganjiang.
Indicated for postpartum women with Heart Qi deficiency and insufficiency, palpitations in the epigastrium due to deficiency, restless will and mind, frequent mental confusion, abdominal cramping pain, restless sleep at night, and shallow breathing with shortness of breath. This medicine tonifies internal injuries, benefits Qi, stabilizes the will, calms the Heart, and treats various deficiency syndromes. Formula:
Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae, heart removed), Fuling (Poria), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi), Maidong (Radix Ophiopogonis, heart removed), Zexie (Rhizoma Alismatis), Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini, fried), Shichangpu (Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata, Bai Zhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), each 3 liang), Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, 5 liang), Shuyu (Rhizoma Dioscoreae, 2 liang).
The above fifteen herbs are crushed, sifted into powder, mixed with refined honey, and formed into pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 20 pills with warm wine on an empty stomach, three times daily. If the effect is insufficient, gradually increase to 30 pills. For severe deficiency with cold body and scanty fluids, adding Zhongru (Stalactitum) 3 liang is beneficial. Zhongru benefits Essence and Qi, calms the mind and stabilizes the will, improves complexion, and is highly effective.
Indicated for severe postpartum deficiency, palpitations, restless will and mind, trance-like states and unconsciousness, fear and dread in the Heart, insomnia at night, emptiness with vexation, and shortness of breath. Formula:
Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Fuling (Poria), Maidong (Radix Ophiopogonis, heart removed), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata, each 3 liang), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, 1 liang), Dazao (Fructus Jujubae, 50 pieces, made into paste), Shichangpu (Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii), Zexie (Rhizoma Alismatis), Shuyu (Rhizoma Dioscoreae), Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis, each 2 liang).
The above ten herbs are crushed, sifted into powder, mixed with refined honey and Jujube paste, and formed into pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 20 pills with wine on an empty stomach, three times daily and once at night. If the effect is insufficient, gradually increase to 30 pills. If Yuanzhi is available, adding 2 liang is beneficial. In cases of Qi collapse, adding Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) and Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis) each 3 liang is even better. This formula also treats men with Heart deficiency causing unstable palpitations, and is highly effective.
