[Magu Jiu Formula] Indications: Eliminates wind pathogenic factors, unblocks blood vessels, benefits essence and qi, stabilizes the six fu organs, clarifies the ears and eyes, enhances complexion luster, turns white hair black, and causes fallen teeth to regrow. Some individuals took this medicine for seventy or eighty years and fathered four sons and three daughters. Han Fujun from Longxi suffered from tendon stiffness, inability to flex or extend both knees, inability to dress himself due to hand impairment, worsening condition during daily activities, aversion to wind and cold, generalized edema, and skin sores. Fujun from Lantian suffered from back pain preventing standing, sallow complexion of face and eyes. After taking this medicine for twenty days, his body felt light, vision became clear, and sexual potency was robust. This formula primarily treats diseases located in the waist and knees.
Formula of the Prefect of Changshan:
Tianxiong (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata, peeled) - 3 liang
Yinyu (Corydalis Amurensis Herba) - 3 liang
Shujiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium, remove seeds and closed-mouth peppers, stir-fry until moisture evaporates) - quantity unspecified (implied proportional or separate measure based on context, usually listed separately but here grouped with others by weight if specified, text says "each" for some, let's follow text strictly: Shujiao amount not explicitly "each" with previous, but usually implies specific measure. Text: "Shujiao... Zhi Zhu (each 1 sheng)". Actually text lists: Tianxiong, Yinyu (each 3 liang); Shujiao (processed); Zhi Zhu (1 sheng); Bailian (3 liang); Wutou, Fuzi, Ganjiang (each 2 liang).
Correction on parsing:
Tianxiong (peeled), Yinyu (each 3 liang) -> Tianxiong 3 liang, Yinyu 3 liang.
Shujiao (remove seeds/closed, sweat) -> Amount not explicitly stated as "each" with others, but typically implies a standard dose or missing character. However, looking at "Zhi Zhu (each 1 sheng)", it likely applies to Zhi Zhu only or pairs. Let's look at the list structure:
1. Tianxiong (peeled)
2. Yinyu (each 3 liang) -> Implies Tianxiong is 3 liang too? Or just Yinyu? Usually "A (B) C (each X)" means A=X, B=X. Here "Tianxiong (peeled) Yinyu (each 3 liang)" suggests Tianxiong 3 liang, Yinyu 3 liang.
3. Shujiao (processed) -> No weight given? Wait, "Shujiao... Zhi Zhu (each 1 sheng)". This phrasing is tricky. "Shujiao (remove... sweat) Zhi Zhu (each 1 sheng)". It might mean Shujiao and Zhi Zhu are each 1 sheng? Or just Zhi Zhu? Given "each", it likely groups Shujiao and Zhi Zhu. Let's assume Shujiao 1 sheng, Zhi Zhu 1 sheng.
4. Bailian (3 liang)
5. Wutou (peeled), Fuzi (peeled), Ganjiang (each 2 liang) -> Wutou 2 liang, Fuzi 2 liang, Ganjiang 2 liang.
