In the ninth month of pregnancy, the fetus begins to develop skin and hair, and the six fu-organs and all joints are fully formed. One should drink sweet wine and eat delicious food, loosen the belt, and wait calmly for delivery; this is called nourishing the hair and accumulating strength.
During the ninth month of pregnancy, the Foot-Shaoyin (Kidney) meridian nourishes the fetus, and acupuncture or moxibustion on this meridian should be avoided. The Foot-Shaoyin meridian internally connects with the Kidneys (Zang-organ), which govern the tendons and ligaments. By the ninth month, the fetus's tendon connections are complete. Avoid damp and cold environments, and do not wear clothes that have been heated by fire.
If sudden dysentery occurs in the ninth month of pregnancy, accompanied by abdominal fullness and urgency, fetal qi rushing up to the heart, severe lower back pain preventing turning, and shortness of breath, Banxia Tang (Pinellia Decoction) may be used.

The above seven ingredients are crushed, boiled in nine sheng of water to obtain three sheng of decoction. Strain the dregs, add eight ge of white honey, warm gently over a low fire, and divide into four doses. The dysentery will cease. An alternative method uses the broth of one female pig to decoct the herbs.
