洗面 药 用猪蹄一副去黑熬膏，入蜜二大匙，白芷、瓜蒌、白芨、白蔹、茯苓、藿香
各一两，梨二个，再同熬至滴水不散，滤过。临卧涂面，次日将水洗之
治头面上疮 用锅子底黑煤，以小油打成膏，摊纸上，贴疮面上。少用，恐有黑痕。
治眉敛头疮 用小麦烧黑存性，为末。以小油调涂疮上。

治头上生瘤子 用蛛丝勒瘤子根，三二日自然退落。
治头面上疮 用鸡子黄熟煮，炒令油出，以油和轻粉敷之。
治白秃疮 用山豆根水研敷。
To treat swelling and pain of the head and face accompanied by throat obstruction (sore throat with blockage), use 1 liang of *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Jiangcan) and 2 liang of *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* (Dahuang), grind into fine powder, make pills the size of a bullet using ginger juice. Take one pill per dose, administered well water.
Another method: Use a bian needle to prick the swollen area to release blood for immediate effect.
To treat brain xuàn (dizziness and distending pain in the head), remove the skin and strings from *Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus* (Zaojiao), honey-fry and crush it, knead with water to extract juice, and boil into an ointment. Snuff into the nose while biting a chopstick in the mouth; stop when saliva flows out.
To treat facial wind (discomfort caused by wind pathogen affecting the face), use ash from *Leonurus japonicus* (Yimucao), mix with flour water, roast seven times, and use to wash the face.
To treat dry and wet tinea on the head, grind *Alumen* (Baifan) into powder, mix with wine, and apply topically.
To treat large and small brain abscesses (severe purulent infections of the head/neck), take half a *Aurantii Fructus* (Zhike), remove the pith, mix fresh ginger juice with refined flour to form a paste, fill the shell with this paste, cover the wound, secure with rice paste, and wait... To treat sores on the head, use 2 qian of *Sepiae Endoconcha* (Haipiaoxiao) and 2 qian of *Olibanum* (Baijiaoxiang), grind finely, add 0.5 qian of *Calomelas* (Qingfen), and grind again. First moisten the sore with clear oil, then sprinkle the dry powder directly onto the sore.
To treat soft carbuncles on the heads of adults and children, use dried peaches that have not fallen from peach trees after frost, known as "Tao Nu", grind into powder, mix with oil, and apply.
To treat soft carbuncles with persistent pus discharge, grind the putty from the bottom of a rotten boat into powder, mix with oil, and apply for excellent effect.
To treat all conditions where wind-heat attacks upward to the head and face, causing swelling, sores, and migraines or general headaches, use equal parts of *Bupleuri Radix* (Chaihu), *Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix* (Qianghuo), *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* (Danggui), *Saposhnikoviae Radix* (Fangfeng), *Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma* (Chuanxiong), and *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gancao) as coarse powder. Take 3 qian per dose, add 1 cup of water and 3 slices of ginger, decoct until reduced to 70%, strain, and take warm.
To treat severe itching from wind dandruff on the head, use any amount of *Veratri Radix* (Lilu) root, grind into powder. Wash hair first, avoid wind until hair is half-dry, rub powder onto the scalp, tie hair tightly, and keep bound for two to three days.
To treat facial sores, mix *Pingwei San* with cold water and apply.
To treat the face [text missing], peel almonds, crush them, mix with egg white, apply to the face before sleep, and wash off next morning with warm wine.

Another method: Soak 1 jin of *Magnoliae Flos* (Mulanxiang) in three-year-old rice vinegar until submerged. After 100 days, sun-dry and grind into powder for topical application. Also take one fangcun bi (approx. 1 tablespoon) orally daily.

Another method: Mix equal parts of *Typhonii Rhizoma* (Baifuzi), *Bletillae Rhizoma* (Baiji), *Ampelopsis Rhizoma* (Bailian), *Lithargyri* (Mituo seng), *Poria* (Baifuling), and lead oxide (Hufen) into powder. Wash face cleanly, mix 1 qian with milk before bed, apply to face, and wash off thoroughly in the morning. Cow's milk is also acceptable.
Face-washing medicine: Use one pig trotter, remove black parts, boil into paste. Add two large spoons of honey, 1 liang each of *Angelica Dahurica* (Baizhi), *Trichosanthis Fructus* (Gualou), *Bletillae Rhizoma* (Baiji), *Ampelopsis Rhizoma* (Bailian), *Poria* (Fuling), and *Agastache* (Huoxiang), plus two pears. Boil together until drops do not disperse, filter. Apply before bed, wash off next day.
To treat sores on the head and face, use soot from the bottom of a pot, mix with a little oil to form a paste, spread on paper, and apply to sores. Use sparingly to avoid black marks.
To treat sparse eyebrows and head sores, char wheat until black but retain properties, grind into powder, mix with a little oil, and apply to sores.
To treat freckles/moles, take one dan of unrotten buckwheat stalks, burn to ash retaining properties, add 0.5 jin of calcined alum (Duanshi), leach with hot water, boil in an iron vessel, stir with a lacquer spoon into a paste. Dot on freckles to remove, or prick with grass stem first.
Another method: Leach ash from mulberry wood and calcined alum with water, boil into paste, prick with grass stem, dot on lesion, rinse with fresh water. Avoid greasy foods.
To treat tumors on the head, bind the base of the tumor with spider silk; it will naturally recede and fall off in two to three days.
To treat sores on the head and face, hard-boil egg yolk, fry until oil extracts, mix with oil and calomel, and apply.
To treat tinea capitis, grind *Sophorae Tonkinensis Radix* (Shandougen) with water and apply.
