The Yin Qiao Mai (Yin Heel Vessel) also originates from the middle of the heel, travels along the medial malleolus upward to the throat, and intersects with the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel). Disease in this vessel causes flaccidity of the Yang aspect and tension of the Yin aspect. Therefore, it is said that the Qiao Mai (Heel Vessels) are branches of the Shaoyin Kidney Meridian (Kidney Meridian of Foot-Shaoyin), diverging behind the Ran Gu (KI-2) acupoint, ascending above the medial malleolus, going straight up along the medial thigh into the genital region, then ascending through the chest interior to the Que Pen (Supraclavicular Fossa), emerging anterior to the Ren Ying (ST-9) acupoint, entering the nose, attaching to the inner canthus, and merging with the Taiyang (Greater Yang) channels. In women, this vessel functions as a Jing Mai (Primary Channel); in men, it functions as a Luo Mai (Connecting Vessel). The length of both left and right Qiao Mai vessels is eight chi. For diseases of the Yin Qiao Mai, the Jiao Xin (KI-8) acupoint is indicated.

The Yang Wei Mai (Yang Linking Vessel) links the Yang channels. Its pathway originates at the convergence of all Yang channels and, together with the Yin Wei Mai, links and connects the entire body. If Yang cannot link the Yang channels, the patient suffers from weakness and inability to control their body. The points where its Qi emerges diverge from Jin Men (BL-63), with Yang Jiao (GB-35) as a key node, meeting the Hand-Taiyang and Foot-Taiyang channels and the Qiao Mai at Ge Shu (BL-17), meeting the Hand-Shaoyang and Foot-Shaoyang channels at Tian Liao (TE-15), and again meeting at Jian Jing (GB-21). In the head, it meets the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder channel at Yang Bai (GB-14), ascends to Ben Shen (GB-13) and Zu Lin Qi (GB-41), continues to Zheng Ying (ST-17), follows Nao Kong (GB-18), and descends to Feng Chi (GB-20). Its intersection with the Du Mai (Governing Vessel) occurs at Feng Fu (DU-16) and Ya Men (DU-15). The Nan Jing states: "Disease of the Yang Wei Mai is characterized by aversion to cold and fever." These are the points where the Yang Wei Mai Qi emerges, totaling twenty-four acupoints.

The Yin Wei Mai (Yin Linking Vessel) links the Yin channels. Its pathway originates at the convergence of all Yin channels. If Yin cannot link the Yin channels, the patient suffers from melancholy and loss of will. The points where the Yin Wei Mai Qi emerges include its starting point, Zhu Bin (KI-9), which meets the Foot-Taiyin Spleen channel at Fu Ai (SP-15) and Da Heng (SP-15), and further meets the Foot-Taiyin Spleen and Foot-Jueyin Liver channels at Fu She (LR-13) and Qi Men (LR-14), and intersects with the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) at Tian Tu (CV-22) and Lian Quan (CV-23). The Nan Jing states: "Disease of the Yin Wei Mai is characterized by heart pain." These are the points where the Yin Wei Mai Qi emerges, totaling twelve acupoints.
