药大下及久痢努出肠头,故致脱肛之病也。治各有方,不可执一。肺与大肠为表里,故肺
经蕴热,则肛门闭结,肺经虚寒则肛门脱出,久则下陷而滑脱也。
Qi and blood sink downward, clashing to cause hemorrhoids, making it impossible to sit or stand/walk; only Qigong guidance (Dao Yin) methods can cure this.
One method: Lie supine with a high pillow, calm the Heart Qi, and the swelling will naturally recede.
One method: Embrace the feet with both hands without moving, directing breath/energy from the feet toward the mouth until the energy in all joints dissipates; repeat this back-and-forth motion 21 times (3x7). When wishing to move, turn the body to the left and right sides respectively, forcefully pulling the waist while keeping it still, to remove Qi and blood stagnation in the four limbs and upper/lower waist, as well as coldness in the bone marrow, cold blood causing tendon tension, and pain/swelling from hemorrhoids and fistulas.
One method: Tread on each other's feet with both soles, tightly contracting toward the perineum; hold the knees with both hands and pull maximally in two directions for 14 times (2x7); assume postures leaning to the left and right sides for another 14 times (2x7); thrust the waist forward and backward seven times, to treat hemorrhoidal disease caused by Heart fatigue.
One method: Sit in a squatting position, bring the knees together, spread the feet apart, and hold the breath twice, to treat five types of hemorrhoids.
One method: Place one foot flat on the ground and bend the knee of the other foot; embrace the area below the Dubi (ST35) acupoint with both hands, forcefully pulling toward the body to the maximum extent; alternate left and right for 28 times (4x7), to treat hemorrhoids, Five Exhaustions (Wu Lao), and descending Qi failure at the Zusanli (ST36) acupoint.
Mingmen (GV4, one acupoint located in the center of the spine opposite the umbilicus; moxibustion of 7 cones treats five types of hemorrhoidal fistulas.) Changqiang (GV1, one acupoint located above the coccyx; moxibustion strength varies by age; most effective for treating five types of hemorrhoids and hematochezia.)
One moxibustion method for treating hemorrhoidal disease where the prolapse is large like a cucumber protruding from the anus, causing stiffness and collapse upon onset: wash the area with Schizonepeta Decoction (Jingjie Tang), then apply moxibustion of 3-5 cones on the lesion. If a stream of hot air is felt entering the intestine, followed by a massive discharge of fresh red bloody feces, severe pain may occur momentarily before the disease resolves.
One treatment for early-stage hemorrhoids with persistent pain and itching: heat an old cloth shoe sole and frequently iron/foment the painful and itchy areas; reheat when cool. The itching will stop immediately.
Zhu Danxi stated: This condition belongs to Qi deficiency and Heat. Zhang Zihe stated: This is due to excessive Heat in the Large Intestine, or improper use of moistening purgatives and excessive straining, mistaking infant crying/shouting for indications to use pill medicines for strong purging, or prolonged dysentery with straining causing rectal prolusion, thus leading to rectal prolapse. Treatments vary by prescription; one should not adhere rigidly to a single approach. The Lung and Large Intestine are exterior-interior paired organs; therefore, if Heat accumulates in the Lung Meridian, the anus becomes obstructed and constipated; if the Lung Meridian is deficient and cold, the anus prolapses. Over time, this leads to sinking and sliding/prolapse.
