Tendon-Picking Moxibustion Method for Abdominal Mass
Have the patient sit low and bend forward. The physician uses the right thumb and middle finger to pinch horizontally across the tips of the hip bones at the same level. The spot on the spinal column marked by this horizontal line is the acupoint. Remember the mark left by the teeth. Press about 2 cun below the spine on the back. If the tooth mark throbs, it is the true acupoint; if not, it is not. On the throbbing spot, wipe with medicated paper to numb the skin and flesh. Perform moxibustion with one cone. Thread a silk thread through a large cloth needle. Insert the needle obliquely and horizontally into the skin, penetrating to the thread like the size of a moxa cone. Slowly tighten to cut the skin. Then use the needle again to insert obliquely and pick horizontally, cutting the thread. Four or five white tendons will emerge. Bright red blood indicates easy treatment; purple blood indicates difficult treatment. Sprinkle a small amount of genuine Sanqi (Notoginseng) powder on the wound to stop bleeding. Perform three moxa cones. Apply the aforementioned ointment. Fever subsides immediately, and the abdominal mass disappears soon. Miraculous effect.
Method for Preparing Paper:
Grind horse wasp nests from the pepper tree into powder. Dip yellow wax into the powder and frequently wipe the paper with sesame oil. Wipe this paper on the affected skin to induce numbness and eliminate pain.
Moxibustion for Abdominal Mass:
The acupoints are located in the center of the child's spine. Starting from the coccyx, feel along both sides of the spine for two points where blood vessels pulse. Place three copper coins on each point. Place moxa smoke into the coin holes. Perform seven moxa cones at each point. These are the roots of the abdominal mass and where blood penetrates. Moxibustion will cause sores to appear, leading to visible results. If the blood vessels are not targeted, no sores will appear, and it will be ineffective.

The patient takes the medicine, dosage arbitrary, either decocted or boiled. Mild cases: half a portion. Severe cases: one full portion.
