Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos, 3 liang), Shengzhuyou (Raw Porcine Fat, 1 liang), Tufuling (Smilacis Glabrae Rhizoma, 4 liang, avoid crushing with iron vessels), Zhijiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, 7 pieces, ground), Zaojiazi (Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina, 7 grains). These ingredients constitute one dose. Decoct and take in three doses. In the morning on an empty stomach, use six tea cups of water, decoct to three cups and take; before noon, use four cups of water, decoct to two cups and take; before sleep, use two cups of water, decoct to one cup and take.
Take 4 jin of raw mutton, add ten large bowls of water, boil until cooked, remove the meat and retain the broth. Skim off the oil droplets. Add 4 liang of Tufuling into the broth and boil until the liquid turns golden-red. Then add Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Tingli (Descurainiae Semen seu Lepidii et Descurainiae Semen), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) (each 1 qian), and Mugua (Chaenomelis Fructus, 2 qian). Decoct with the aforementioned broth for approximately half the time it takes to burn a stick of incense. Divide evenly into three bowls. Take one bowl each in the morning, noon, and evening. Take consecutively for three doses, and it can be cured. If the sores are slightly lighter, adjust accordingly.
Ruanshigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, 3 qian), Bailonggu (Fossilia Ossis Mastodi, 3 qian), Haipiaoxiao (Sepiae Endoconcha, 1 qian), Songxiang (Pini Resina, 5 fen). Grind all into fine powder together. Wrap the powder in coarse summer cloth and dust it onto the affected area.
For those who have taken drugs for sexual enhancement or cinnabar/stone elixirs, resulting in Yinshi Guangchuang (Syphilis caused by damp-heat/toxicity), and where doctors, seeking quick results, administered hidden medicines (often containing mercury), leading to Jiedu (hard chancre/syphilitic gumma) that is incurable for life.
Guiban (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, roasted three times in real wine slurry, pure powder 2 liang), Zhusha (Cinnabaris, water-triturated fine powder, 2 qian), Jiukong Shijueming (Haliotidis Concha, nine-hole variety, quenched in child's urine, pure powder). Mix these uniformly according to the above method. Use yellow rice flour to make pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 1 qian per dose, decoct 1.5 liang of Tufuling in water, mix with good wine, and take the pill with this decoction.
(This formula is effective for early-stage Yangmei Dundu [Syphilitic Erysipelas] and also for chronic cases.)
Huangtu (Terrae Rubra Preparata, 32 liang), Chilingpi (Poria Cocos with Red Peel, 6 liang), Shengdahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 8 liang), Huaihua (Sophorae Flos, 8 liang), Mingfan (Alumen, 4 liang), Shenggancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 4 liang). Grind into pure powder. Make pills using water-pelleting method, size of tung tree seeds. Take 3 qian per dose, send down with decoction made from 2 liang of Tufuling.
Mingfan (calcined on a tile), Lujiao (Cervi Cornus Degloriatum, each 1 qian), Renfa (Human Hair, 5 qian, burned over lamp flame to ash retaining nature). Grind each into fine powder separately. Wash the affected area with Sichuan pepper soup. Apply the powder, sprinkling it dry onto the wound. If the sore does not close, add 5 qian of Wasong (Leucosolenia spongia-like substance) burned to ash, mix in, and apply.
