(Treats Yin abscesses and back carbuncles. Cases where the lesion is depressed and painless.)
Use one jin of genuine mugwort leaves (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), five qian each of sulfur (Sulfur) and realgar powder (Realgar). Boil together in water for half a day. Pounded to an extremely fine paste. Apply while warm. Re-boil and replace as needed.
(For cases where the toxin is deep-seated, difficult to reach directly with a knife, and patients fear surgery. This method is very suitable when pus has matured. If pus does not discharge through hair follicles, applying this medication will cause the untreated area to open up on the side, allowing natural discharge.)
Donkey hoof skin (one liang, specifically scraped from the sole, stir-fried before use) Buckwheat flour (one liang) Aconitum carmichaelii root (four qian, peeled and ground)
Grind all into powder. Mix evenly. Add five qian of salt. Form into thin cakes using water paste. Roast on tiles until slightly yellow. Grind finely again. Mix with vinegar and spread on white paper. Apply to the affected area.
(Treats all kinds of malignant sores and strange toxins. Or those arising between flesh and sinew knots. Caused by excessive force during pus drainage, leading to protruding muscle tissue resembling plums or pomegranate flowers, red and swollen, failing to retract over time. This results from damage to meridians and collaterals. Without understanding the principle, practitioners often use caustic agents to dissolve necrotic tissue. Removing small lesions leads to larger ones reappearing; repeated cauterization causes recurring protrusions, lasting years without healing. Using this formula yields immediate results.)
Prepared Rehmannia root (sliced, dried, and charred) Dried meat of Chinese plum (charred)
Take one liang of powdered charred Prepared Rehmannia root. Mix with three qian of charred Chinese plum meat. Grind to an extremely fine powder. Sprinkle onto medicated plaster and apply. Within three to five days, the protruding tissue will recede. Subsequently, apply Di Li Sheng Ji Fen (Water Chestnut Tissue-Regenerating Powder, see section 38) onto the plaster. Apply to the wound to promote closure and healing. Suitable for individuals with Yin deficiency, insufficient Kidney Qi, or suffering from internal collapse syndromes.
One jin of croton seeds (Crotonis Fructus). Remove shell and membrane. Use only the clean kernel. Stir-fry in a pan until oil separates. Remove fire toxicity. For rotting ulcers, thinly smear the oil on the surface. Necrotic tissue will naturally detach.
(Treats all types of ulcerated sores. Recommended for post-ulceration care.)
Angelica sinensis root (two liang) Bletilla striata rhizome Angelica dahurica root Elaeocarpus decipiens seed Phellodendron amurense bark Ampelopsis japonica tuber Frankincense White rosin (each five qian) Lead tetroxide (five liang)
Use twelve liang of pure sesame oil. Decoct the first six ingredients. Stir clockwise with locust and willow branches. When the oil is ready, add lead tetroxide to form the plaster base. Finally, add frankincense and white rosin.
