Apply mashed persimmon cake (Diospyros kaki fruit) to the affected area. Bleeding stops immediately, and the wound heals naturally.
Bai La (Cinnabar Wax, *Laccae Resina*) (1 liang) Teng Huang (Yellow Arrowroot Rhizome, *Curcumae Aromatica Rhizoma*) (3 qian)
Melt into sesame oil (*Sesami Oleum*). Apply to the injured site for immediate healing. This formula relieves pain and stops bleeding, and is also excellent for scalds and burns.
Have the patient sit cross-legged like a monk in meditation. Have one person hold their hair and lower their head slightly. Blow Ban Xia powder (Pinellia Tuber, *Pinelliae Ternatae Rhizoma*) into the nostrils. After regaining consciousness, administer fresh ginger juice (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens Juice) and pure sesame oil (*Sesami Oleum*). Then, burn dried Bo He (Peppermint Herba, *Menthae Haplocalycis Herba*) to ash, mix with hot urine, and take 3 qian orally. Take three doses daily for spontaneous recovery. Formerly, Magistrate Song Zhuo verified this on two cases of lethal injury where the vital qi had barely not perished. He urgently ordered the Baojia officials to take green onion white parts (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus), stir-fry them until hot, and apply them all over the wound. Subsequently, the patient began to groan. Replace with freshly fried green onion white parts. The patient felt no pain. Later, Song Zhuo conversed with Bao Qin, the magistrate of Leping County. Upon meeting again, Bao said that green onion white parts were very effective. People in Liping are fond of fighting and often suffer injuries. Whenever there are killings or injuries, when official duties do not allow time for detailed interrogation, they first apply green onion white parts to the wound, saving many lives.
Mash dried Xian Cai (Amaranthus tricolor leaf/stem, *Amaranthi Tricoloris Herba*) and mix with sugar paste. Apply to the wound. Arrowheads and lead bullets can be expelled.
Grind E Guan Shi (Penguinia Stone, *Penguinia*) into fine powder. Sprinkle around the wound. The arrowhead will expel itself.
Use Lou Gu (Mole Cricket, *Gryllotalpae Insectum*), specifically those that chirp "la-la-hu" at night on wet ground. Mash the brain into a paste and apply to the site. It will expel within three to five applications.
Yuan Hu Suo powder (Corydalis Rhizome, *Corydzidis Rhizoma*). Take 2 qian with good wine. Take twice daily for recovery.
Heat an old saw blade until red-hot. Immerse it in wine. Drink while hot. Extremely effective.
Han Gong Niu Jiao (Dry Water Buffalo Horn, *Bubali Cornu*) (one horn: dry over fire, scrape layer by layer as it dries) Huang Mi Mian (Yellow Millet Flour) (amount不拘/unrestricted; Buckwheat flour is also acceptable) Yu Shu Pi Bai Li (Inner Bark of Elm Tree, *Ulmus Cortices Albus*) (amount unrestricted) Hua (Flower - note: original text likely missing specific flower name or refers to a generic floral component, kept as literal translation)
Grind together into fine powder. Use aged strong vinegar (Chen Yan Cu) to boil into a thin paste. Spread on blue cloth and apply as a plaster. Wrap tightly with long, thin willow wood strips. Continuously hear cracking sounds from inside the bone. Wait until the sounds cease, then reduction is complete. For cattle or horse falls/injuries, or trees broken by wind, treat humans using this method, all are effective.
In cases of sudden violent death, malignant death, hanging death, or lying down and suddenly dying but with slight residual warmth in the heart region:
Insert the yellow stem of the green onion center (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) into the nostril. For males, use the left nostril; for females, the right. Insert 3-4 cun deep. If blood flows from the nose and eyes, there is still life.
