Use a large piece of *Bingjiang* (Ice Ginger) and a piece of *Guangfen* (Light Powder, likely refined talc or similar mineral powder), in equal proportions. Pound them together until extremely fine, then apply to the scrotum. Lie supine with oil paper underneath to prevent soiling bedding. After a short while, intense heat will occur; do not touch it with your hands, let it fall off naturally. Two applications are sufficient to cure it permanently. Even if the testicle has been enlarged for a long time, it will gradually shrink.
Take one layer of carbonized residue from the bottom of a clay dish used for boiling meat and vegetables over many years, crush it, place it in a pot, and add approximately one *jin* (approx. 500g) of sesame oil. Fry until charred and dry. Observe the fire; when the smoke ceases and the fire extinguishes, remove from heat. Once cooled, grind into a fine powder and make into pills with honey. Take three *qian* (approx. 15g) per dose, washed down with yellow wine.
*Lizhihe* (Litchi Seed) (49 pieces), *Chenpi* (Aged Tangerine Peel) (9 *qian*), *Liuhuang* (Sulfur) (4 *qian*).
Grind all into powder. Use salt water mixed with wheat flour paste as a binder to form pills the size of mung beans. When pain occurs, take nine pills on an empty stomach with warm wine, and repeat after some time. Within four or five doses, the effect is miraculous.
*Wumei Zhi* (Mume Juice), *Lizhi* (Pear Juice), *Shishuang* (Persimmon Frost), *Baishatang* (White Sugar), *Baimi* (White Honey), *Luobozhi* (Radish Juice) (each 4 *liang*), *Shengjiang Zhi* (Ginger Juice) (1 *liang*), *Chiling Mo* (Powder of *Poria Cocos* with Red Skin) (8 *liang*, soaked in milk and sun-dried), *Kuandonghua* (Flos Farfarae), *Ziwan Mo* (Powder of *Adenophorae Radix*) (each 1 *liang*).
Place all ingredients in a clay pot. Boil down into a paste and form into pills the size of a marble. Take one pill per dose, dissolve in the mouth and swallow before going to bed.
In cases of hematemesis (vomiting blood), absolutely do not take other medicines. Only use one's own urine, which can cure the root cause. In the morning upon waking, first void the overnight urine, eat a small amount of rice or light snacks, sit quietly in a room without speaking or standing up, but only close your eyes and calm the mind. Take two or three slices of lotus root, slightly crush them, and steep in hot water. Place in a teapot and drink as poured. As the liquid is consumed, the urge to urinate will arise. Collect the urine in a clean large bowl; it should be white like spring water and very bland in taste. Drink it while hot. Chew two red dates afterward to prevent nausea. Afterward, you may resume normal activities. Avoid green onions, ginger, pepper, garlic, and spicy foods. Drinking this for half a month can cure the root cause.
This formula is specifically for treating deficiency of both Qi and Blood, bone-steaming tidal fever, emaciation, soreness and weakness of the limbs, mental fatigue, lower back and spine pain, loss of appetite, as well as hematemesis and cough due to Yin deficiency, and all types of weak syndromes. It has proven effective repeatedly. For mild symptoms, two or three courses lead to complete recovery; for severe symptoms, four or five courses eliminate the root cause. Even healthy people taking it regularly can maintain strong physique and vigorous spirit. This formula is easy to prepare and highly effective. I received it from an extraordinary source; sharing it widely brings boundless merit.
*Pipaye* (Loquat Leaf) (56 leaves), fresh ones are better. If unavailable, dried ones suffice. Increase the dosage if cough is severe. If there is no cough, less is needed. Wash the hairs off the leaves thoroughly.
Large pears (2 pieces, those with deep navels are best, peel and core, slice), *Baimi* (White Honey) (half a *zhong*, boil beforehand until it forms beads when dropped into water; increase if constipated, omit if loose stools), *Dazao* (Red Dates) (half a *jin*, black round Huizhou dates are acceptable), *Jianlianrou* (Seedless Lotus Seed Flesh) (4 *liang*, skin need not be removed).
First, place the loquat leaves in a copper or clay pot, decoct several times with river water, and collect the clear juice. Filter through silk cloth, discarding the boiled leaves. Mix the pears, dates, lotus seeds, and honey evenly, spread flat in the pot. Pour the filtered loquat leaf juice over them, covering slightly above the ingredients. Cover and cook for half the time it takes to burn an incense stick, flip the pot, and cook for another half incense stick time. Store in a porcelain jar. Warm and consume as desired; it benefits the Zang-Fu organs greatly. Peel the dates while hot after cooking. Many suffer from deficiency and cough; if not treated early, lung damage from coughing is hard to heal. Only this formula treats cough with miraculous efficacy. If deficient but without cough, omit the loquat leaves and decoct only with river water. For cough with excessive phlegm, add 1 *liang* of *Chuanbeimu* (Fritillariae Bulbus), ground to fine powder, and add when cooked, boiling for one or two more cycles before removing. For hematemesis, decoct with juice from crushed lotus nodes. Prepare more in winter for long-term storage; in summer, prepare less for immediate consumption within a day or two.
