Commentary states: The initial formation of the embryo relies on the nourishment and cultivation of Blood and Qi. If during pregnancy, Blood and Qi are vigorous and strong, and Yin and Yang reach a state of ultimate harmony, blending together within the body. As long as one can conform to the seasonal rhythms, carefully manage daily life and self-care, avoid unnecessary movement and injury, then the principle of reproduction is mastered. However, if the Chong (Penetrating) and Ren (Conception) vessels have deficient Qi, and self-care is improper, leading to Wind-Cold invading the Zi Zang (Uterus), which fails to nourish the fetus, then each pregnancy tends to result in damage and miscarriage.
