Discourse states: Dysentery with stool colors of green, white, or black all belong to Cold Dysentery (Leng Li). This is due to the weakness of the intestines and stomach, allowing cold pathogenic factors to invade, resulting in the passage of green or black dysenteric stools.
If the dysentery is white in color and accompanied by indigestion, it indicates interior Cold (Han Zhong). The pulse should be examined; a deep (Chen) pulse suggests survivability (favorable prognosis), while a floating (Fu) pulse indicates poor prognosis (fatal). Such individuals typically have accumulated cold within their bodies, leading to chronic cold dysentery with pus.
