Discussion: The *Neijing* (Inner Canon) states that heat in the Large Intestine leads to the discharge of intestinal mucus. Chao Yuanfang stated that "intestinal mucus" refers to turbid and greasy fluids within the intestines. These are organs of transmission and transformation, where accumulated heat forms dysentery. If dysentery persists for a long time without healing, the intestines become deficient and slippery, causing fluids and filth to be discharged. This indicates excess pathogenic heat and deficiency of the true Zang-Qi, thus resulting in this syndrome.
