Discussion: The condition of turbid urine resembling rice gruel in deficiency consumptive disease (Xu Lao) is caused by damage to Kidney Qi due to overexertion, internal coldness of the bladder collaterals (Bao Luo), and obstruction of the Qi mechanism. The Kidney governs water metabolism; when Kidney Qi is deficient, the lower jiao becomes cold, causing fluids to stagnate. Consequently, the urine becomes turbid and discharges like rice gruel.
For treating turbid urine in deficiency consumptive disease accompanied by hypogastric tension, nocturnal emission during sleep, and damp-itching in the genital region, use Wuwei Zi Wan (Schisandra Pill).
[Ingredients] Wuwei Zi (Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis), Shilongrui (Herba Ranunculi Ternati), Wutou (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata), Shihu (Rhizoma Dendrobii), Bibi (Rhizoma Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae), Tusizi (Semen Cuscutae), Fangkui (Radix et Folium Peucedani), Zhi Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata).
[Preparation and Administration] The above eighteen ingredients are crushed, sifted into powder, and mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take thirty pills with warm wine on an empty stomach, and another dose before bed. Gradually increase the dosage to fifty pills.
For treating turbid urine and nocturnal emission in deficiency consumptive disease, use Jiu Zi San (Allium Tuberosum Powder).
[Ingredients] Jiu Zi (Semen Allii Tuberosi), Tusizi (Semen Cuscutae), Cheqianzi (Semen Plantaginis), Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis).

Alternatively, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take twenty pills with warm wine on an empty stomach.
For treating severe deficiency damage and internal injury to Kidney Qi resulting in turbid urine, use Zexie San (Alisma Powder).
