Discussion: The condition of Huoluan (cholera-like syndrome) accompanied by heart and abdominal distension is caused by the failure of Yin and Yang Qi to ascend and descend normally. If accompanied by undigested food, internal heat, and vomiting, the disease can be cured by directing Qi downward.
