Discussion on the manifestations of wind-induced fright and terror. The spirit and mind are unsettled, with frequent episodes of fright and terror, as if being pursued by someone. This is because the Heart is the root of life and the source of spiritual transformation; the Liver is the "General Officer," from which strategies and deliberations emerge. When these two organs are in harmonious balance, external pathogens cannot invade. If righteous qi is insufficient and wind pathogen attacks, pressing upon the Heart, it causes fearfulness and anxiety (chuti buzian); pressing upon the Liver, it results in fright and terror.
