Discourse states: What is referred to as "Feng Zhu" (Wind Injection) arises from the body's deficiency, allowing Wind pathogenic factors to invade and lodge between Ying (Nutritive) and Wei (Defensive) levels. The pathogenic factors wander within the body and eventually stagnate and settle, hence the name Feng Zhu. Its manifestations include twitching and trembling of the skin and muscles, with pain that has no fixed location. After one year, symptoms such as hair loss, traction pain in the neck and nape, grating sounds from bones, eye pain, nasal soreness, and toothache may occur.
Furthermore, the twelve types of Wind injection present differently:
Injection by Warm Wind causes headache and sweating;
Injection by Sweating Wind causes headache, feverish body, and stiffness in bone joints;
Injection by Soft Wind causes wandering swelling in the abdomen or on the hands and feet;
Injection by Water Wind causes sweating during eating and sleeping;
Injection by Nine Winds causes a sensation of head spinning, tearing muscle pain, pain in the visual system, and aversion to human voices;
Injection by Severing Wind causes sudden collapse and falling, with white foam at the mouth;
Injection by Epileptic Wind causes disheveled hair, manic running, and lack of avoidance when hitting objects;
Injection by Fierce Wind causes shouting, cursing, talking to oneself, and laughing;
Injection by Lodging Wind causes locked jaw, facial numbness, and paralysis of the four limbs;
Injection by Twisting Wind causes sores on the body and loss of eyebrows;
Injection by Oyster Wind causes bi-syndrome resembling wounds from oyster stings, alternating itching and pain;
Injection by Covering Wind causes whole-body tremors or nasal congestion.
Although these conditions vary in appearance, they all share the same nature of pathogenic factors stagnating and injecting.
