Commentary states: The nose is the orifice of the Lung (Fei Zang, 肺脏). When nasal function is harmonious, one can perceive odors. If Wind-Cold (Feng Han, 风寒) pathogenic factors invade the Lung Meridian (Fei Jing, 肺经), nasal Qi flow becomes obstructed, causing fluids to stagnate and accumulate. Blood and Qi contend and knot together, adhering within the nasal cavity, growing into lesions resembling warts, which hinder respiration; hence they are named "polyps" (Rou Zhi, 息肉).
Treatment for nasal polyps: Sheep Lung Powder Formula (Yang Fei San Fang)
