Formula for treating hemorrhoids with anal itching and pain.
Huai Pi (Cortex Sophorae Flavescentis), Lian Shi (Fructus Meliae Toosendan) (each 5 liang, recorded as Chen Chi in *Waitai Mi Yao*), Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae) (2 liang), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) (3 liang), Taoren (Semen Persicae) (61 seeds).
The above seven herbs are cut into pieces, boiled in one sheng of rendered pork fat over a gentle fire until the Baizhi turns yellow. Once the ointment is ready, apply it to the sores twice daily, and use for lower body fumigation or sitz bath. (The *Shanfan* formula omits Danggui; it treats Kidney deficiency due to labor, or kidney damage caused by drinking alcohol and being exposed to wind, manifesting as anal swelling and sores. Caused by alcohol-induced injury leading to passage of clear blood, anal pain; this is the Fengfang Gao formula.)
Formula for treating anal pain:
Tusi Zi (Semen Cuscutae) stir-fried until yellow-black, mixed with egg yolk and applied to the affected area, twice daily.
Another formula:
Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum) fried until yellow, pounded into a paste and applied.
Formula for sudden pain in the anal opening, feeling like bird pecking:
Da Dou (Semen Sojae Preparatum) and Xiao Dou (Semen Phaseoli Angularis) each one dou, mixed and pounded, placed in two bags, steamed until extremely hot. Sit alternately on the bags until healed.

(Two treatises, sixty-seven formulas, four moxibustion methods)
The treatise states: For all sores and scabies, add 2 liang of Wushe Rou (Serpens) to Xiao Qinjiao San (Minor Gentian Powder). Huangqi (Radix Astragali) wine with 1 chi of Wushe Fu (Serpens) also has significant efficacy. (*Qianjin Yifang* records: Add 1 chi of Wushe Fu to Huangqi wine, along with Wu Tou (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata), Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata), Yin Yu (Herba Pyrethri Tatarini), Shinan (Folium Nandinae), and Mangcao (Herba Agrimoniae) in equal parts. Adding these to Da Qinjiao San (Major Gentian Powder) is also highly effective. For mild scabies, Shiliuwei Xiao Qinjiao San (Sixteen-Ingredient Minor Gentian Powder) is equally suitable. See Volume 7 for the preparation of Huangqi wine.)
For all kinds of scabies, grind Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum) with Zhuzhi (Pork Fat) until extremely fine, and apply.
Formula for treating sores and scabies appearing on the waist, hips, hands, and feet:
Gualou Gen (Radix Trichosanthis), Qiangwei Gen (Radix Rosae Multiflorae), Que Li Gen Pi (Cortex Pruni Padus), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis), Huangbai (Cortex Phellodendri), Shaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Alba) (each 3 liang), Huangqi (Radix Astragali), Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Ku Shen (Radix Sophorae Flavescentis) [Note: Text implies list completion].
The above thirteen herbs are powdered, formed into pills with honey, sized like wu zi (wu-tzu seeds). Take 20 pills with Qiangwei Yin (Rose Drink) three times daily, increasing to 30 pills until cured. Do not take if suffering from Gan Jie (Dry Scabies) or Bai Xuan (White Tinea). (*Qianjin Yifang* records: This can be taken for carbuncles and ulcers.)
Formula for treating cold-heat sores, wind scabies, and various miscellaneous sores:
Jiu Gen (Rhizoma Allii Tuberosi), Fanshi (Alumen), Xionghuang (Realgar), Lilu (Radix Veratri), Gudi (Fructus Citrulli), Fufen (Cerussa) (each 1 fen), Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum) (3 fen).
The above seven herbs: Grind Shuiyin with willow wood until fully dispersed. Boil Lilu, Jiu Gen, and Gudi in one sheng of Zhuzhi (Pork Fat) for three boils. Remove dregs, add other medicines, mix well until combined. Apply externally for miraculous effect. (*Jiufang* uses this for tinea corporis.)
