上七味捣筛，将猪胰拌和，更捣令匀，每旦取洗手面，百日白净如素。

上九味细捣，罗，与猪胰相合和，曝干、捣，绢筛，洗手面。

上八味捣筛，用如常法。
桃仁澡豆，主悦泽，去 方。

上五味合和，捣筛，以醋浆水洗手面。
澡豆主手干燥常少润腻方。

上九味为末，调和讫，与猪胰相和，更捣令匀。欲用，稍稍取以洗手面，八九月则合冷

Facial Cleansing Medicine Formula.
Porcine pancreas (5 pieces, finely sliced) Bi Dou Mian (Vicia faba flour, 1 sheng) Gleditsiae Fructus (Gleditsia sinensis fruit, 3 ting) Trichosanthis Fructus (Trichosanthes kirilowii fruit, 3 liang; not used in another prescription) Polygonati Rhizoma (Polygonatum sibiricum rhizome) Poria (Poria cocos) Cnidosquali Radix (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius root; each 5 liang).
The above seven medicinal materials are crushed and sifted, mixed with porcine pancreas, and pounded again until uniform. Take an appropriate amount every morning to wash hands and face. After one hundred days, the skin will become white and clean as if unadorned.
Facial Cleansing Medicine Formula.
Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Duhuo), Peucedani Radix (Baizhi), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), Persicae Semen (Taoren), Benincasae Semen Exsiccataum (Dongguaren), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren), Polygonati Rhizoma (Weirui) (each equal parts), Gleditsiae Fructus (Zaojiao) (double the amount).
The above eight medicinal materials are sifted through silk gauze and used immediately when washing hands and face.
Facial Cleansing Medicine for Removing Spots and Whitening.
Porcine pancreas (2 pieces, fat removed) Bean flour (4 sheng) Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) (each 1 liang) Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Peucedani Radix (Bailian), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi) (each 2 liang) Phytolaccae Radix (Shanglu) (1 liang, implied from context "and earth melon root 1 liang").
The above ten medicinal materials are mixed with 1 liang of Cnidosquali Radix, crushed, and sifted through silk gauze. Take one large pig trotter, boil until soft to make juice, mix the powder with the trotter juice to form cakes, dry them in the sun, and pound them again to prepare Zao Dou (bath bean powder).
Zao Dou Formula for Treating Dry Hands and Lack of Moisture.
Soybean Sprout (Da Dou Huang) (5 sheng) Medicago Sativa (Muxu) Linglingxiang Seed (Linglingxiang Zi) Vigna Angularis Var. Conspicua (Chi Xiao Dou) (each 2 sheng, peeled) Caryophylli Flos (Dingxiang) (5 he) Moschus (Shexiang) (1 liang) Benincasae Semen Exsiccataum (Dongguaren) Cyperi Rotundi Rhizoma (Maoxiang) (each 6 he) Porcine pancreas (5 pieces, finely sliced).
The above nine medicinal materials are finely crushed, sifted, mixed with porcine pancreas, dried in the sun, pounded, and sifted through silk gauze. Use to wash hands and face.
Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi), Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum (Qingmuxiang), Nardostachyos Radix et Rhizoma (Gansongxiang), Pogostemonis Herba (Huoxiang) (each 2 liang) Malvae Semen (Dongkuizi; one version uses Benincasae Semen Exsiccataum), Trichosanthis Semen (Gualou Ren) (each 4 liang) Linglingxiang (Linglingxiang) (2 liang) Bi Dou Mian (Vicia faba flour, 3 sheng; Da Dou Huang flour is also acceptable).
The above eight medicinal materials are crushed and sifted. Use according to the usual method.
Taoren Zao Dou (Peach Kernel Bath Bean Powder), mainly for moisturizing and brightening, and removing spots.
Persicae Semen (Taoren) Brassicaceae Seed (Wujingzi) (each 1 liang) Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) (6 he) Cnidosquali Radix (Tugua Gen) (7 he) Black Soybean Flour (Heidou Mian) (2 sheng).
The above five medicinal materials are mixed, crushed, and sifted. Wash hands and face with vinegar water.
Zao Dou Formula for Treating Dry Hands and Constant Lack of Moisture.
Porcine pancreas (5 pieces, dried) Poria (Baifuling) Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi) Cibotii Rhizoma (Ben) (each 4 liang) Nardostachyos Radix et Rhizoma (Gansongxiang) Linglingxiang (Linglingxiang) (each 2 liang) Phytolaccae Radix (Shanglu) (5 liang) Soybean Powder (Da Dou Mo, 2 sheng, sifted through silk gauze) Ash of Descurainia Sophia (Shuodi Hui) (1 liang).
The above nine medicinal materials are ground into powder. After mixing uniformly, combine with porcine pancreas and pound again until smooth. When desired for use, take a small amount to wash hands and face. Store in a cool place during August and September. Do not use after March. The effect is excellent.
