Menses are obstructed, *Ben Tun* (a syndrome characterized by gas rushing from the lower abdomen to the chest and throat) occurs upwards or downwards, and infertility prevails; moxibustion is applied to Siman (Four Fullnesses) for thirty moxa cones. The acupoint is located on both sides of Dantian (Elixir Field), each being one and a half cun away. Dantian is located two cun below the umbilicus.
For women with uterine prolapse (*Bao Luo Tui*), moxibustion is applied to the center of the umbilicus for three hundred moxa cones.
Furthermore, moxibustion is applied to Shenjiao (Body Intersection) for fifty moxa cones, administered repeatedly ("San Bao" implies repeated sessions), located in the transverse crease below the umbilicus.
Furthermore, moxibustion is applied to the point on the spinal column directly opposite the umbilicus for fifty moxa cones.
Furthermore, moxibustion is applied to Yuquan (Jade Spring) for fifty moxa cones, administered repeatedly.
Furthermore, moxibustion is applied to Longmen (Dragon Gate) for twenty moxa cones, administered repeatedly, located below Yuquan, at the junction of the inner and outer aspects of the female vulva. This acupoint is currently abandoned and no longer used for acupuncture or moxibustion due to its sensitive location.
For women with uterine ptosis and vaginal wall prolapse, moxibustion is applied to the point three cun lateral to Yuquan, with the number of moxa cones determined by the patient's age ("Sui Nian Zhuang"), administered repeatedly.
For women suffering from coldness, swelling, and pain of the vulva, moxibustion is applied to Guilai (Return) for thirty moxa cones, administered repeatedly. This acupoint is located five cun lateral to Yuquan.
For women wishing to terminate pregnancy, moxibustion is applied one cun above the right malleolus; two moxa cones are sufficient to achieve termination.
(Comprising four categories)
(One treatise, fourteen prescriptions)
The treatise states: For women desiring beautiful complexions, exceptionally fair and plump skin, who remain youthful even at seventy years of age, they should not consume Zhiyingshi (Fluorite), as it may darken the complexion. Instead, they should consume Zhongru Zelan Wan (Stalactite and Agrimony Pill).
This prescription treats women suffering from "Wu Lao Qi Shang" (five exhausters and seven injuries, referring to various chronic deficiency syndromes), characterized by emaciation, coldness, thinness, lackluster facial complexion, reduced appetite, loss of luster, and postpartum infertility due to disrupted qi and blood. It is suitable for long-term use to promote plumpness, fairness, and tonification.
Ingredients: Baidouren (Seed of Biota Orientalis), Huangqi (Radix Astragali), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Baishiyingshi (White Fluorite), Zhongru (Concretio Silicosa), Chuanjiao (Fructus Zanthoxyli) [1.5 liang], Duzhong (Cortex Eucommiae), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) [each 42 zhu], Houpo (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi), Jiegeng (Radix Platycodonis), Chishizhi (Halloysit Rubra), Rongshen (Herba Cynomorii), Wuweizi (Fructus Schisandrae), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), Xixin (Herba Asari), Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Shihu (Herba Dendrobii), Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae), Shaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Alba) [each 1 liang], Zelan (Herba Leonuri Caprari) [2 liang 6 zhu], Gaoben (Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong), Wuyi (Fructus Canarii) [each 18 zhu], Zhiyingshi (Fluorite) [2 liang], Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata).
Grind the above thirty herbs into powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of wutong seeds. Take twenty pills with wine; if ineffective, increase to thirty pills. (Note: *Qianjin Yifang* omits Wutou and includes Longgu, Fangkui, Fuling, and Qinjiao, each half liang, totaling thirty-three ingredients, and also treats postpartum emaciation of half the body.)
