苦急，背膊强者，加独活，葛根各三两，麻黄、桂心各二两，生姜八两，用水一斗半。

Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae), Maidong (Tuber Ophiopogonis), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi) (each 2 liang), Shaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Alba) (1 liang), Fuling (Poria) (5 liang), Shengjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) (6 liang), Dazao (Fructus Jujubae) (20 pieces).

For those who are emaciated, divide into four doses. This occurrence after childbirth is precisely due to Heart deficiency. If Danggui is unavailable, use Xiong (Radix Chuanxiong). If there is rebellious Qi in the chest and epigastrium, add Banxia (Rhizoma Pinelliae) 3 liang.

Fuling (Poria) (5 liang), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Shaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Alba), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) (each 2 liang), Shengjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) (6 liang), Maidong (Tuber Ophiopogonis) (1 sheng), Dazao (Fructus Jujubae) (30 pieces).
The above eight ingredients are cut into small pieces, decocted in one dou of water to obtain three sheng, the dregs are removed, and it is divided into three doses, taken three times a day. If Danggui is unavailable, use Xiong (Radix Chuanxiong). If suffering from mental unrest, add Renshen (Radix Ginseng) 2 liang; alternatively, add Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae) 2 liang. If suffering from vexation, oppression, and shortness of breath, add fresh Zhuye (Folium Bambusae) 1 sheng; first decoct the Zhuye in one dou and three sheng of water to obtain one dou of liquid, then add the other medicines. If there is slight wind pathogen, add Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis) 3 liang, Mahuang (Herba Ephedrae) 2 liang, Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi) 2 liang, using one dou and five sheng of water. If suffering from stiffness and pain in the neck, and rigidity in the back and arms, add Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis) and Gegen (Radix Puerariae) each 3 liang, Mahuang (Herba Ephedrae) and Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi) each 2 liang, Shengjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) 8 liang, using one dou and half of water.
