Formula for treating cases where vomiting and diarrhea have ceased, but sweating and cold extremities persist, with spasms and tightness of the four limbs unresolved, and the pulse faint to the point of being imperceptible.
Da Fuzi (Cinnamon Twig Decoction - *Note: Context implies Fuzi/Prepared Aconite Root*) (one piece), Gancao (Licorice Root) (1 liang 5 qian), Ganshengjiang (Dried Ginger) (3 liang, 4 liang for robust constitutions).
Crush the above three herbs, decoct in 3 sheng of water until 1 sheng 2 he remains. Divide into two doses. Recovery occurs when the pulse returns. If the facial complexion is red, add Jiubai (Nine stems of Scallion White).
For abdominal pain, remove Jiubai and add Shaoyao (Peony Root) 2 liang. For vomiting and rebellious qi, add Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) 3 liang. For sore throat, remove Shaoyao and add Jiegeng (Platycodon Root) 1 liang. If diarrhea has stopped but the pulse does not emerge, remove Jiegeng and add Renshen (Ginseng Root) 2 liang. Adjust the formula according to the symptoms before administration. (Zhang Zhongjing used Tongmai Sini Jia Zhu Dan Tang [Pulse-Reviving Cold-Reversing Decoction with Pig Bile]).
Formula for treating Huoluan (Cholera-like disease) causing muscle cramps, cold sweats, and vomiting.
Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root) (one piece), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Ganshengjiang (Dried Ginger), Gancao (Licorice Root) (each 3 liang).

Formula for treating Huoluan (Cholera-like disease) with vomiting and diarrhea, where heat persists despite prior administration of Lizhong Tang [Regulate the Middle Decoction] and Sishun Tang [Four-Obedience Decoction].
Zhuye (Bamboo Leaf) (a handful), Xiaomai (Wheat Grain) (1 sheng), Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) (10 lei), Gancao (Licorice Root), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root), Shaoyao (Peony Root) (each 1 liang), Ju Pi (Tangerine Peel), Guixin (Cinnamon Heart), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root) (each 2 liang), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) (3 liang).

If there is rebellious qi ascending, add Wuzhuyu (Evodia Fruit) 0.5 sheng for cure. Lizhong Tang and Sishun Tang are all strongly heating; if heat signs are present, this formula is appropriate (Gu Jin Lu Yan [Ancient and Modern Recorded Experiences] omits Shaoyao).
