White blood cells are the body's defensive forces. According to Western medical theory, white blood cell counts only rise when external pathogenic factors invade internally. In other words, white blood cells represent a temporary mobilization of defensive capacity by the immune system to resist pathogenic invasion (Note: not viruses, which are visible; this pathogenic factor is Cold, an invisible substance, thus undetectable under a microscope). This defensive capability against pathogens is what is referred to as Righteous Qi (Zhengqi, upright energy). However, the Western definition of leukemia is the abnormal proliferation of white blood cells, specifically their unexplained abnormal increase in the absence of bacterial or viral infection, with the etiology remaining unknown to this day. Therefore, Western medicine can only define the symptom as the abnormal proliferation of white blood cells, and the symptomatic treatment is to eliminate excess white blood cells to bring indicators close to normal (this approach is somewhat akin to forcing a crooked person to stand straight).
However, if one understands that this disease is caused by the internal invasion of Cold Pathogen (Hanxie), it is not difficult to discover that the so-called Western treatment is actually an act of "releasing pathogens and attacking righteousness" (Shi Xie Gong Zheng), aiding the tyrant. Ignoring the obvious Cold Pathogen (clearly evident through the Four Diagnostic Methods) and instead massacring the white blood cells that resist the invasion of Cold Pathogen is no different from collaborating with invaders to suppress the people's resistance—a traitorous act.
Understanding this principle, let us look at the therapeutic principle of Chinese herbal medicine: The purpose of Chinese herbs is not to control the rise of white blood cells, but to fundamentally eliminate the invading pathogens. The short-term rise in white blood cells can be viewed as an enhancement of the body's anti-pathogen power (similar to the strengthening of the Anti-Japanese forces), and after the pathogens are completely eliminated, white blood cells will naturally return to the normal range (similar to soldiers demobilizing and returning to production after the war ends). This is the principle of Chinese herbal medicine in supporting Righteous Qi and expelling pathogens.
The principles, medications, and efficacy differ between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medicine. Extensive facts prove that the method adopted by Western medicine for treating blood diseases leads patients to ruin both health and wealth, while many in the TCM community have also fallen into therapeutic误区 (misunderstandings) guided by erroneous theories, making this disease universally terminal. How to correctly treat this disease under the guidance of correct theory is not only a major topic for the medical community but also an issue that many leukemia patients should pay attention to.
Hypertension and Warming Yang to Dispel Cold
Large doses of Sini Tang (Four Reversal Decoction) with Aconite (Fuzi) and Ginger (Shengjiang) can exceed 100g. The courage to boldly use Ginger and Aconite originated with Mr. Zheng Qin'an from Shu region. Known as the "Fire Spirit," Mr. Zheng had a clear understanding of the differentiation of Yin and Yang, elucidated the basis of Yin deficiency and Yang excess/deficiency, provoking deep reflection and enlightenment. His medication was straightforward, effective as a drumstick striking a drum. His insights were profound, and his efficacy outstanding, making him the foremost figure in hundreds of years. It is a pity that later generations did not examine this carefully, mistakenly taking the Cold-Cooling School as the orthodox mainstream of medicine. They constantly spoke of nourishing Yin and descending Fire, rarely mentioning tonifying Yang and dispelling Cold, thereby damaging Righteous Qi and harming the root. Conversely, they regarded Mr. Zheng's learning, which revitalizes Primary Yang and supports vital Qi, as heterodox, arrogantly claiming orthodoxy for themselves, reversing black and white, confusing right and wrong, misleading people with theory, and harming lives with medication. They turned the Yellow Emperor's art of saving lives into a method of killing, which is truly something to weep bitterly and sigh over!
After Mr. Zheng, there were Mr. Wu Peiheng and Mr. Fan Zhonglin, who followed in his footsteps, standing alone in the medical field, possessing god-like powers and penetrating insight, frequently rescuing severe and chronic conditions, relying on fierce generals such as Dried Ginger (Ganjiang) and Aconite (Fuzi) for assistance. Yet, common practitioners often claim these are toxic and should be used with caution, falsely labeling this generation's fierce general as useless, assigning them to idle posts and refusing to重用 (use heavily), allowing Cold Qi to run rampant and living beings to freeze and starve, which is again something to weep bitterly and sigh over!
Hypertension is caused by Cold constricting blood vessels, causing them to contract inward. Western medicine does not know how to dispel Cold; it only knows how to dilate blood vessels to reduce blood flow, much like repeatedly pulling a tight elastic band to loosen it. This not only fails to remove the root cause of Cold but also makes blood vessels brittle, losing elasticity and the ability to contract, ultimately leading to cerebral hemorrhage. If investigated, it is highly likely that all patients with cerebral hemorrhage had long-term usage of antihypertensive drugs. Modern diseases are mostly caused by the accumulation of side effects of Western medicines. For example, Sulfamethoxazole has been proven to lead to leukemia, aplastic anemia, uremia, lupus erythematosus, and other Western terminal diseases, which Western medicine fully knows. Most Western medicines are like this; almost every drug proves to do more harm than good after clinical application, necessitating updates and replacements, yet updated versions also carry unknown negative possibilities, such as the previously mentioned PPA. Fools, unaware of the harm, frequently resort to intravenous drips, regarding them as panaceas, flocking to them, easily rushing to death, with many coming in standing and leaving lying down. Deeply believing in so-called science with total submission, yet having no understanding of its principles, being overly credulous to the point of superstition, is truly pitiful and可怜 (pitiable)!
Whenever I mention this, I find my speech blocked, my breath knotted, my voice agitated, and my temperament violent. This is because I know it is wrong but find it hard to make others believe, wanting to correct the error but finding no way to appeal. Those who are confused remain self-satisfied, wearing authority like a mask, monopolizing and dictating. For diseases they cannot cure, they declare them terminal; when others cure them with different methods, they create difficulties and refuse to acknowledge it, hiding others' strengths and protecting their own weaknesses, deceiving the world with theory and cheating people with technology, yet managing to proceed unhindered, doing as they please, defrauding wealth and harming lives, with victims dying without resentment, which is especially something to weep bitterly and sigh over!
(Six Qi Disease Model) Six Pathomechanisms of Hypertension
Hypertension is a Western medical term. Western medicine defines diseases based on indicators, lacking understanding of the underlying principles and rarely hitting the pathomechanism. Treatment either dilates blood vessels or uses diuretics to reduce blood volume, having nothing to do with the etiology. Although it may provide temporary relief, it actually destroys vascular elasticity and damages heart and kidney function, which is precisely ignorant and reckless action.
This disease is caused by Yang failing to enter Yin or Yin failing to exit Yang, i.e., disharmony of Yin and Yang; harmonizing it leads to recovery.
When Yang cannot enter Yin, Qi and Blood scatter outward, causing diastolic pressure to rise.
When Yin cannot exit Yang, Qi and Blood sink and gather inward, causing systolic pressure to rise.
Yang failing to enter Yin may be due to:
1. Upper-body Yin deficiency failing to restrain Yang and guide it downward (Yangming disharmony), treated with Baihu, Xiexin, or Maidongmen formulas.
2. Lower-body Yin excess repelling Yang outward (Taiyin failure to open), treated with Lizhong, Sini, or Zhenwu formulas.
3. Lower-body dual deficiency of Yin and Yang (Jing/Essence) failing to secure Yang inward (Ministerial Fire out of position), treated with Shenqi Wan or Xiaochaihu formulas.
Yin failing to exit Yang may be due to:
1. Lower-body Yang deficiency failing to carry Yin upward and outward (Jueyin disharmony), treated with Danggui Sini, Wuzhuyu, or Wu Mei Wan formulas.
2. External Yin excess repelling Yang inward (Taiyang failure to open), treated with Guizhi, Mahuang, or Xiao Qinglong formulas.
3. Upper-body dual deficiency of Yin and Yang (Blood) failing to guide Yin outward (Lord Fire unclear), treated with Huanglian Ejiao, Suanzaoren, or Zhigancao Tang formulas.
Four belong to Yin and two to Yang; Yin diseases are more common than Yang diseases. If blood pressure rises, blindly using methods to calm Liver Yang and subdue it, or nourish Yin and descend Fire, seeing only Yang and not Yin, knowing one aspect but not the other, may result in missing six or seven parts of the truth while grasping only one or two!
Patient Guidelines for Common Cold
I. Guidelines for Common Cold:
1. Do not abuse antibiotics for colds; this is strictly prohibited abroad, and antibiotic management in the US is stricter than gun control. Because Western medical theory holds that antibiotics are ineffective against viral colds and have side effects. The abuse of antibiotics for fever reduction in domestic hospitals actually destroys human immunity, preventing the immune system from resisting external pathogens, causing pathogenic qi to penetrate deeper and worsen. Although surface symptoms temporarily disappear, more severe visceral dysfunction symptoms will inevitably appear shortly thereafter.
2. For colds caused by Cold exposure accompanied by fever, using any cooling medicine to "reduce fever" is incorrect; this is a "treacherous" act of "releasing pathogens and attacking righteousness." Fever is the body's normal anti-disease response to resist Cold Pathogen and strive to disperse it externally; sweating leads to fever reduction. This was common sense in folk medicine, where grandmothers would use Ginger Soup (Fresh Ginger and Brown Sugar Water) (Acrid-Sweet transforming into Yang) to treat colds. Now, everyone only knows to reduce fever, unaware that this nature of fever reduction equals surrender, just like the Manchukuo era; although there were no gunshots, the territory had effectively fallen, and Northeastern people had become slaves.
3. Colds should be treated according to the Six Meridians; Shanghan Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage) is the classic for treating all colds. Colds initially enter via the Taiyang Meridian, which governs the exterior of the body. There are two main formulas for Taiyang disease: one is Guizhi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction), and the other is Mahuang Tang (Ephedra Decoction). One treats Wind Strike (Shangfeng), characterized by scattered Righteous Qi and sweating; the other treats Cold Damage (Shanghan), characterized by internal contraction of Pathogens and no sweating. Wind Strike causes softness of the body; Cold Damage causes heaviness of the body. Both share the characteristic of "stiffness and pain in the head and neck, and aversion to Cold."
4. The so-called "Wind-Heat Cold" is mostly subjective imagination; as long as the weather is Cold, there is no so-called Wind-Heat. Claiming that fever can lead to pneumonia or encephalitis is similarly subjective imagination, resulting from hearsay and misinformation. True Heat Yangming patterns do not appear during the stage of Taiyang pathogen invasion. Summerheat stroke differs in nature from ordinary colds; summerheat is caused by excessive sweating due to heat exposure, damaging fluids and leading to collapse. Summerheat resolves with cooling, whereas colds worsen with cooling. The nature of colds is usually Cold; adding Cold to Cold should be avoided, and this should be common knowledge among the public.

4. Guizhi Erchen Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Two-Chen Decoction): For colds with sweating, sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and phlegm.
Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig) 8g, Baishao (White Peony Root) 8g, Zhigancao (Honey-fried Licorice) 5g, Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) 4g, Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) 4g, Fuling (Poria) 4g, Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) 2 slices, Dazao (Jujube) 1 piece (split).
Steep in boiling water, take one bowl at 7 AM and 3 PM. Four doses.
5. After cold recovery, if symptoms of Yang deficiency such as loss of appetite, lack of spirit, cold limbs, and aversion to cold persist, switch to Fuzi Lizhong Wan (Aconite and Magnolia Pill) for adjustment. Adults take two large honey pills before breakfast and lunch; children take one pill.
6. Symptoms involving other meridians no longer fall under the category of ordinary colds. Typically, ordinary colds do not present interior syndromes in the early stage unless mismanaged. If Shaoyang, Yangming, or Three-Yin syndromes appear, understand the deviation and treat according to the syndrome. Cases are complex; consult a physician. Patients and families should not administer medication arbitrarily.
III. Q&A
Q: The cold formulas provided by Mr. Sanqi often involve fever symptoms. What if the patient has not yet reached the fever stage, but only has symptoms such as nasal congestion, headache, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat, white greasy tongue coating, sticky tasteless mouth, and limb weakness? How should the formula be used?
A:
Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) 3g, Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) 3g, Heifuzi (Black Aconite) 6g.
Steep in boiling water, take one bowl at 7 AM and 5 PM. Two doses.
IV. American Experts' View on Chinese-style "Fever Reduction" and "IV Drips" — "China Handles It This Way; America Has No Fever Reducing Shots"
In July 1991, People's Daily Overseas Edition published an article "Seeking Medical Help in the USA" by a "Visiting Scholar" from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Shortly after arriving in the US, he went to the emergency room for "cold and fever": "After comprehensive examination and blood tests, the doctor diagnosed influenza." The author complained: "The doctor only wrote a prescription, and we bought a small bottle of Advib (Ibuprofen) ourselves, which is an over-the-counter cold medicine."
The next day, seeing no improvement, he visited again. "An ethnic Chinese doctor reviewed the medical record and examined carefully, saying: 'You came yesterday, and they did no treatment; this belongs to viral influenza.'" "I requested the hospital for a fever-reducing shot and IV drip. This strictly responsible doctor replied: 'China handles it this way; America has no fever-reducing shots.'"
Fever is a protective reaction of the organism; generally, only extremely high fever may damage the nervous system, causing consciousness disorders. Therefore, Schmitt refers to parents' excessive worry about children's fever as "Pyrexia Phobia." The key to handling fever lies in diagnosis, not in hastening to reduce fever.
Why Intravenous Drip?
In June 1994, a visiting group from the Harvard School of Public Health visited a township health center near Anqing City. At that time, there were 13 patients in the ward, appearing not seriously ill, but 11 were receiving "IV drips," with one even walking around holding the IV bottle. An American professor was greatly puzzled, asking what diseases these patients had and why they needed intravenous drips.
