上三味捣末，蜜丸如桐子，以饮下二十至三十丸，日再服，忌猪肉。
千金疗产后忽着寒热下痢，生地黄汤方。

Shen Shi's formula for treating postpartum cold-heat dysentery, Coptis Pill Formula.
Coptidis Rhizoma (3 liang) Myrobalani Fructus Emblicae Pericarpium (1 sheng) Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (2 liang)
The above three herbs are ground into powder, formed into pills the size of paulownia seeds using honey. Take 20 to 30 pills with warm water, twice daily. Avoid pork.
Qian Jin's formula for sudden onset of chills and fever with dysentery after childbirth, Rehmanniae Decoction Formula.
Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (prepared) Coptidis Rhizoma Cinnamomi Ramulus (each 1 liang) Rehmanniae Radix (5 liang, sliced) Jujubae Fructus (20 pieces) Bambusae Folium (Dan Zhu Pi) Lithii Carbonas (each 1 liang)
The above seven herbs are sliced. Boil Bambusae Folium in one dou of water until reduced to seven sheng. Remove the dregs, add the remaining herbs, and boil until reduced to two and a half sheng. Divide into three doses, taken three times daily. (This formula also appears in Volume 3 of Qian Jin Yi Fang).
Qian Jin's formula for residual cold causing dysentery after childbirth, characterized by pus and blood in stool (red and white), frequent bowel movements dozens of times a day, abdominal pain, and occasional bleeding, Cinnamon Twig Decoction Formula.
Cinnamomi Ramulus Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (prepared, each 2 liang) Lithii Carbonas (10 liang) Angelicae Sinensis Radix (3 liang) Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (1 liang, processed) Mel (1 sheng)
The above seven herbs are sliced. Boil in seven sheng of water until reduced to three sheng. Add one liang of mel and bring to a boil. Take one sheng per dose, three times daily.
Bi Xiao's formula for postpartum dysentery occurring fifty times a day.
Take the feces of wood-boring insects from inside timber, stir-fry them in a pan until yellow, then immediately pour water over them. Adjust the consistency to be suitable for consumption. Stop taking when cured. (Formula from Du Gu Ji Jiu Ne).
Guang Ji's formula for sudden onset of stranguria after childbirth, characterized by gritty pain during urination, even to the point of hematuria.
Malvae Semen (1 sheng) Periplocae Herba (de-hair) Tetrapanacis Medulla (each 3 liang) Talcum (4 liang, powdered, added at the end of decoction) Poria Polyporus Scutellariae Radix (each 2 liang)
The above six herbs are sliced. Boil in nine sheng of water until reduced to three sheng. Strain to remove dregs. Take seven he per dose. Stop when cured. Avoid hot noodles and vinegar-based foods.
Ji Yan's formula for sudden onset of stranguria after childbirth, Pyrrosiae Decoction Formula.
Ulmus Alba Cortex (5 liang) Periplocae Herba (de-hair) Scutellariae Radix (each 3 liang) Tetrapanacis Medulla (3 liang) Jujubae Fructus (20 pieces) Malvae Semen (1 sheng)
The above seven herbs are sliced. Boil in eight sheng of water until reduced to two and a half sheng. Divide into three or four doses. (Qian Jin contains Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma and Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, totaling nine herbs).
Qian Jin's formula for postpartum dribbling stranguria, Malvae Root Decoction Formula.
Malvae Radix (2 liang, dried) Plantaginis Semen (1 sheng) Capillus Humanus Cinis (burnt hair ash) Rheismi Radix et Rhizoma Cinnamomi Ramulus Talcum (powdered, added later, each 1 liang) Benincasae Juice (7 he) Tetrapanacis Medulla (2 liang) Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (6 liang)
The above nine herbs are sliced. Boil in seven sheng of water until reduced to two and a half sheng. Strain to remove dregs. Divide into three doses. (From Volume 3).
Another formula for postpartum stranguria, Talcum Powder Formula.
Talcum (5 fen, finely ground) Tetrapanacis Medulla Plantaginis Semen Malvae Semen (each 4 liang)
The above four herbs are taken with jiang shui (fermented grain liquid). One fang cun bi to two bi is optimal.
Qian Jin Yi Fang's formula for sudden onset of stranguria after childbirth, Qi stranguria, Blood stranguria, and Stone stranguria Decoction Formula.
