The *Duanju Fang* (Short Drama Formulas) treatment for pediatric accidental ingestion of iron beads, sized like a raccoon bean. After one year, there was no harm, but later the child became emaciated and thin. Food failed to nourish the flesh and muscles; frequent dysentery occurred, or alternating chills and fever were present. Various self-administered medications worsened the condition without effect. A physician diagnosed that the ingested object had not been digested or expelled despite various treatments, preventing recovery. Upon inquiry, the family recalled the child often played with sixteen iron beads recently. One bead was missing, suspected to be swallowed. Although years had passed and suspicion was low, repeated examination by the physician confirmed this, leading to the illness. A decoction was prescribed, and the illness promptly resolved. Subsequent conditioning restored the child's flesh and muscle plumpness. The formula was forgotten at the time, so it is recorded here. Additionally, a girl of about six or seven suffered from abdominal pain. Her mother felt a transverse object within the flesh during massage. Asking the child revealed a needle embedded in the flesh. Surprisingly, the skin was intact. There was indeed a puncture site, but pressing did not cause needle-like pain, only abdominal pain. The mother pressed firmly with her fingernails, breaking the transverse object into two pieces under the nail, without lateral pain. A physician examined the case, suspecting ingestion of a needle-like object. The infant had no history of choking. It is hypothesized that while being held naked, a needle carried by the mother pierced the infant's skin. The infant cried from pain but stopped upon nursing and resting, leading to insensitivity. Now, abdominal pain and massage revealed the issue. Iron exposed to wood and earth moisture requires *Wenzhong Tang* (Warm the Middle Decoction). The abdominal disease resolved. She grew up, married, and gave birth without complications from the needle site, hence this record.
