The *Guangji Fang* (Broad Rescue Formulas) provides a bathing decoction for treating wind-rash in children.
Poplar heartwood shavings (2 sheng), *Dioscorea bulbifera* root (cut into pieces, 2 sheng), salt (2 he), and *Rhus typhina* wood (cut into pieces, 1 sheng).
Chop the above four ingredients, boil them in 2 dou of water until reduced to 1 dou of liquid. Add salt and use the solution for bathing. Perform this frequently until recovery is achieved.
Another formula treats severe fever and hidden rashes in children who have already taken decoctions or pills without relief; it is suitable to take Bamboo Sap Decoction (*Zhuli Tang*).
Light bamboo sap (1 sheng 2 he), *Pueraria lobata* juice (5 he), and *Bovis Calculus* (Niu Huang, 3 grains the size of a bean, ground fine).
Mix the above three ingredients and administer to the child. For infants aged one to five or six years, give 1 he to 3 he or 5 he per dose. Repeat administration, adjusting the dosage as appropriate.
The *Qianjin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) provides a formula for treating wind-itching and urticaria in children.

Take *Achyranthes bidentata* powder, administer with wine using a measure of one square inch (fangcun bi). For chronic fistulas that do not heal for many years, crush the powder and apply it externally. It is excellent for treating bone abscesses (guju), epilepsy (dianbing), and scrofula (luoli).
The *Qianjin Yi Fang* (Supplement to Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) provides a formula for treating urticaria.
Remove the skin from 50 beans of *Croton tiglium* (Badou), boil them in 3 sheng of water until reduced to 1.5 sheng. Dip cotton wool into the decoction and wipe the affected area; the rash will disappear immediately. This is miraculous and effective.
The *Duanju Fang* (Short-Term Efficacy Formulas) provides a highly effective external application of *Pulsatilla chinensis* for pediatric scrotal swelling.

Grind the above ten ingredients into a powder, mix with honey to make pills the size of soybeans. Take five to seven pills with drinkable liquids, repeat until cured.
Mr. Liu’s method for treating pediatric hernia with swollen and painful scrotal nodules uses moxibustion.
For a one-year-old child, locate the acupoint below the seam of the scrotum and apply three moxa cones to cure. For children over five years old, locate the acupoint above the scrotum and apply moxibustion there for cure.
