上七味，以桐器煎之，候膏成去滓，收贮，每欲梳头，涂膏令头肌中发生又黑。
又生发膏方。
细辛 防风 续断 芎 皂荚 柏叶 辛夷仁（各一两八铢） 寄生（二两九铢）
泽兰 零陵香（各二两十六铢） 蔓荆子（四两） 桑根汁（一升） 韭根汁（三合三勺） 竹
叶（切六合） 松叶（切六升） 乌麻油（四大升） 白芷（六两十六铢）
上十七味，以苦酒韭根汁渍一宿，以绵裹煎，微火三上三下，白芷色黄去滓，滤以器盛
之，用涂摩头发，日三两度。
深师疗头风乌喙膏，生发，令速长而黑光润方。
乌喙 莽草 石南草 续断 皂荚（去皮子熬） 泽兰 白术（各二两） 辛夷仁（一

上十味，以苦酒渍一宿，以脂煎于东向灶釜中，以苇薪煎之，先致三堆土，每三沸，即
下致一堆土，候沸定，却上，至三沸又置上堆上，三毕成膏讫，去滓，置铜器中，数北向屋

千金疗脉极虚寒，发堕落安发润方。

上一味淹渍煮五六沸，去滓，以洗沐发，数数为之，不复落也。
又方
麻子（三升碎） 白桐叶（切一把）
上二味，以泔汁二升煮，取八九沸去滓，洗沐头，发不落而长也。（翼同）
又生发膏方。
胡麻油（一升） 雁脂（一合） 丁子香 甘松香（各一两半） 吴藿香 细辛 椒

上十七味切，以酢渍一宿，煎之以微火，三上三下，白芷色黄膏成，去滓，以涂发及顶

千金翼生发膏，令发速长黑，敷药时特忌风方。

蔓荆子（三升） 大附子（二枚）
上二味，以酒一斗二升渍之，以瓷器盛之，封头二十日，取鸡脂煎以涂之泽，以汁栉发，
十日长一尺，勿近面涂验。
又生发，附子松脂膏方。
附子 松脂（各二两） 蔓荆子（四两捣筛）
上三味，以乌鸡脂和，瓷器盛，密缚头，于屋北阴干，百日药成，马 膏和，以敷头如
泽，勿近面验。
又生发，墙衣散方。
墙衣（五合曝干捣末） 铁精（一合） 合欢木灰（二合） 水萍末（三合）
上四味捣研末，以生油和少许如膏，以涂发不生处，日夜再，即生发效。（并出第五卷
中）
近效生发方。
蔓荆子 青葙子 莲子草（各一分） 附子（一枚） 碎头发灰（二匕）
上五味，以酒渍，纳瓷器中，封闭经二七日，药成，以乌鸡脂和涂之，先以泔洗，后敷
之数日生长一尺也。
Guangji Fang (Prescriptions from Guangji) Hair Growth Formula.
Herba Ecliptae juice (1 sheng), Bear subcutaneous fat (1 he), Pig adipose tissue (1 he), Raw Sesame oil (1 he), Cortex Platycladi white part (3 he, sliced), Rhizoma Allii tuberosi root (3 he, sliced), Roof tile debris (3 he, sliced).
The above seven ingredients are decocted in a tung-wood vessel. When the ointment is ready, filter out the dregs and store. Before combing hair, apply this ointment to the scalp to promote hair growth and make it black.
Another Hair Growth Ointment Formula.
Radix Asari (Xixin), Radix Saposhnikoviae (Fangfeng), Radix Dipsaci (Xuduan), Radix Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Fructus Glauciae (Zaojia), Folium Platycladi (Baiye), Semen Magnoliae (Xinyiren) (each 1 liang 8 zhu), Ramulus Cuscutae (Jisheng), Herba Lycopi (Zelan), Flos Lingzhi (Linglingxiang) (each 2 liang 16 zhu), Fructus Viticis (Manjingzi), 4 liang), Juice of Morus alba root (Sanggan root juice) (1 sheng), Juice of Allium tuberosum root (Jiu root juice) (3 he 3 shao), Leaves of Bambusa (Zhuye) (6 he, sliced), Pine needles (Songye) (6 sheng, sliced), Black Sesame oil (Wuma oil) (4 da sheng), Radix Angelicae Dahuricae (Baizhi) (6 liang 16 zhu).
The above seventeen ingredients are soaked overnight in vinegar and Jiu root juice. Wrap in cotton cloth and decoct over low heat, heating and cooling three times (three up, three down). When Baizhi turns yellow, filter out the dregs and store in a vessel. Apply and massage onto the hair, two to three times daily.
Shenshi Fang's Wu Hui Ointment for treating Head Wind, promoting hair growth, making it grow fast, black, shiny, and moist.
Rhizoma Aconiti Kusnezoffii (Wuhui), Herba Siegesbeckiae (Mangcao), Herba Nandinae (Shinancao), Radix Dipsaci (Xuduan), Fructus Glauciae (Zaojia) (skin and seeds removed, roasted), Herba Lycopi (Zelan), Radix Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Baizhu) (each 2 liang), Semen Magnoliae (Xinyiren) (1 liang), Folium Platycladi (Baiye) (0.5 sheng, sliced), Pig adipose tissue (Zhi) (3 sheng).
The above ten ingredients are soaked overnight in vinegar. Decoct with pig fat in a cauldron on an east-facing stove, using reed firewood. First pile three mounds of earth; after each boiling, add one mound. When boiling subsides, return to heat. Repeat until three boilings are completed to form the ointment. Filter out dregs and place in a copper vessel.
Qianjin Fang formula for treating extremely deficient and cold pulse, hair loss, to stabilize and moisturize hair.
Cortex Mori Albae Radicis (Sanggen baipi) (1 sheng, sliced).
The above single ingredient is soaked and boiled for five or six boils. Filter out dregs and use to wash hair. Use frequently, and hair will not fall out.
Another Formula:
Semen Cannabis (Mazi) (3 sheng, crushed), Leaves of Firmiana simplex (Baitong ye) (one handful).
The above two ingredients are boiled in 2 sheng of rice washing water for eight or nine boils. Filter out dregs and use to wash hair; hair will not fall out but will grow. (Same as Qianjin Yi Fang)
Another Hair Growth Ointment Formula.
Sesamum indicum oil (Huma oil) (1 sheng), Goose fat (Yanzhi) (1 he), Flos Caryophylli (Dingzig), Rhizoma Nardostachyos (Gansongxiang) (each 1.5 liang), Herpa Agastache (Wuhuoxiang), Radix Asari (Xixin), Fructus Zanthoxyli (Jiao) (each 2 liang), Herba Lycopi (Zelan), Radix Angelicae Dahuricae (Baizhi), Fructus Viticis (Mojingzi), Herba Medicago Sativae (Muxuxiang), Semen Cannabis (Damaizi) (each 1 liang), Radix Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Radix Saposhnikoviae (Fangfeng), Herba Siegesbeckiae (Mangcao), Semen Armeniacae Amarum (Xingren) (each 3 liang, skin and tip removed).
The above seventeen ingredients are sliced and soaked in vinegar overnight. Decoct over low heat, heating and cooling three times (three up, three down). When Baizhi turns yellow and the ointment is ready, filter out dregs. Apply to hair and crown; effect is excellent. (From Volume 13)
Qianjin Yi Fang Hair Growth Ointment, making hair grow fast and black. Special caution against wind exposure during application.
Rhizoma Aconiti Kusnezoffii (Wuhui), Herba Siegesbeckiae (Mangcao), Radix Dipsaci (Xuduan), Fructus Glauciae (Zaojia) (skin and seeds removed), Herba Lycopi (Zelan), Leaves of Bambusa (Zhuye), Radix Asari (Xixin), Radix Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Baizhu) (each 2 liang), Flos Magnoliae (Xinyi), Radix Saposhnikoviae (Fangfeng) (each 1 liang), Folium Platycladi (Baiye) (4 liang, sliced), Semen Armeniacae Amarum (Xingren) (separately pounded), Pine needles (Songye) (each 3 liang), Pig adipose tissue (Zhi) (3 sheng).
The above fourteen ingredients are soaked overnight in rice vinegar. Decoct with fat, heating and cooling three times (three down, three up) until the ointment is ready. Filter out dregs and apply to hair and crown.
Another Long Hair Formula:
Fructus Viticis (Manjingzi) (3 sheng), Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (Da Fuzi) (2 pieces).
The above two ingredients are soaked in 12 sheng of wine. Store in a porcelain vessel, seal tightly for twenty days. Take Chicken adipose tissue, decoct, and apply to make it moist. Comb hair with the juice; hair grows one chi in ten days. Do not apply near the face for verification.
Another Hair Growth Formula: Fuzi Pine Resin Ointment.
Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (Fuzi), Pine resin (Songzhi) (each 2 liang), Fructus Viticis (Manjingzi) (4 liang, pounded and sifted).
The above three ingredients are mixed with Black Hen adipose tissue, stored in a porcelain vessel, tightly bound to the head, and dried in the shade on the north side of the house for one hundred days until the medicine is ready. Mix with Horse adipose tissue and apply to the head to make it moist. Do not apply near the face for verification.
Another Hair Growth Formula: Wall Debris Powder.
Wall debris (Qiangyi) (5 he, sun-dried and pounded to powder), Iron powder (Tiejing) (1 he), Ash of Albizia julibrissin wood (Hehuanmu hui) (2 he), Powder of Lemna minor (Shuiping mo) (3 he).
The above four ingredients are pounded and ground into powder. Mix with raw sesame oil and a little to form a paste. Apply to areas where hair does not grow, twice day and night; effective for hair growth. (All from Volume 5)
Jin Xiao Fang Hair Growth Formula.
Fructus Viticis (Manjingzi), Fructus Celosiae (Qingxiangzi), Herba Ecliptae (Lianzicao) (each 1 fen), Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (Fuzi) (1 piece), Ash of broken hair (Sui toufa hui) (2 bi).
The above five ingredients are soaked in wine, placed in a porcelain vessel, sealed for fourteen days (two seven-day periods). The medicine is ready. Mix with Black Hen adipose tissue and apply. Wash hair with rice water first, then apply the medicine; hair grows one chi in a few days.
