Da Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus, one fruit, ground into powder) is mixed evenly with Jidan Qing (Egg White, from one egg, yolk removed). Apply this mixture around the circumference of the infant's abdomen. Additionally, Ming Xionghuang (Realgar, 5 qian), Sharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus, 6 fen), Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus, 5 fruits, stir-fried), and Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum, 5 li) are all ground into a fine powder. This powder is mixed with Jidan Qing (Egg White) and applied to the area surrounding the umbilicus, covering an area the size of a bowl opening.
Da Hong Furong Hua (Hibisci Mutabilis Flos, one flower) is applied with its center tightly aligned against the infant's umbilicus. Then, a thin pancake made from one egg is placed on the flower stalk and rotated once. Furthermore, Hujiao (Piperis Nigri Fructus, 7 grains), Sheng Zhizi (Raw Gardeniae Fructus, 7 fruits), Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus, 7 roots), and Feimian (Fine Wheat Flour, a pinch) are ground together into a powder and pounded to mix evenly. Egg white is added to adjust the consistency, and the mixture is spread on blue cloth and applied to the infant's heart pit (epigastrium). Remove after one day and night; if the skin turns dark green or black, it indicates recovery. If ineffective, apply another dose. After recovery, tonifying spleen medications should be administered.
Baijing Qiuyin (Earthworm, cut into two segments; those jumping urgently treat acute convulsion [Ji Jing Feng], while those jumping slowly treat chronic convulsion [Man Jing Feng]). Add Shexiang (Moschus, 1 fen), pound into a paste, and apply to the center of the umbilicus. Cover externally with a plaster. Alternatively, use Baishi Maoji (White-silk-feathered Chicken, specifically Wu Gu Lü Er / Black-bone Green-ear chicken, also known as Rongmao Ji or Bai Fenghuang, commonly produced in Taihe County, Jiangxi Province). Take the tail feathers, pound them extremely finely, mix with Jidan Qing (Egg White) and Feiluo Mian (Sifted Fine Flour), and apply to the sole of the foot. For males, apply to the left foot; for females, to the right foot. Leave on overnight. The next day, if the soles become very dark green or black, it indicates recovery. Additionally, take Furong Nenye (Young Leaves of Hibiscus Mutabilis, about 5-6 leaves); use an odd number for males and an even number for females (or vice versa depending on the version). Pound into a paste, mix with egg, cook until done to form a cake, and apply to the umbilicus.
Shenhuo Cao (Scutellaria Barbata) decocted in water for bathing.
Shu Jing (Summer Heat Convulsion): Sheng Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Recens) and Zaojia (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus Spina) in equal parts are ground into powder. Blown into the nasal cavity to induce sneezing, which leads to immediate recovery. (Suitable for both adults and children).
If the body becomes uniformly dark/black, urgently push downwards. Use Huangtu (Yellow Earth, one bowl) ground into powder, mixed with Chen Cu (Aged Vinegar, one zhong), stir-fried until hot, wrapped securely, and used for ironing/pressing moxibustion. It is ideal to guide the pathogenic factor down to the feet. Infantile malnutrition (Gan Ji) and various diseases causing the collapse of Tianzhu Bone (the cervical spine/upper back) are caused by bodily deficiency. It is suitable to apply Shengjin San (Tendon-Nourishing Powder). Muguezi (Mucunae Semen, six seeds, shelled), Bimazi (Ricini Semen)...
