Seek fresh snails with shells (one or two), crush them into a paste, spread the paste on paper, and apply it to the affected area. Leave a small hole in the center for breathing. This method is highly effective when used at the initial stage of the condition.

Another prescription: Calcinate deer horn (Cornu Cervi) until charred, grind it into powder, mix with pig bile (Bilis Sus), and apply externally.

Another prescription: Crush raw apricot kernels (Semen Armeniacae Amarum) into a pulp, blend evenly with egg white (Ovi Gallii Albumen), form into thin pancakes. At night, wash the face with warm salt water, soak cotton cloth in the medicinal liquid, and apply compresses to the sores. Apply five or six times daily; the condition will heal naturally within two to three days.

Equal parts of bitter loofah fruit (Fructus Luffae) and toothed soap pod (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis) are burned to ash, mixed with oil, and applied externally.

Grind apricot kernels (Semen Armeniacae Amarum) into a paste and apply; the lesions will resolve spontaneously.

Light red lead (Minium), Scutellaria root (Radix Scutellariae), Angelica dahurica (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae), Aconitum carmichaelii prepared product (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata), and Saposhnikovia root (Radix Saposhnikoviae), each one qian (approx. 3-5g), are ground into powder. Mix with honey, wash the face again, and rub onto the affected area. The scars and marks will disappear after three days.

Another prescription: Dissolve alum (Alumen) in wine and apply as a poultice.

Another prescription: Blend Polygonum multiflorum stem (Caulis Polygoni Multiflori) with egg white (Ovi Gallii Albumen). Wash the face thoroughly with well water before application. Effect is seen after three to five applications.

Soak black morning glory seeds (Semen Pharbitidis Nigrae) in wine for three nights, then grind into powder. First wipe the face with ginger juice (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens Sucus), then apply the medication.

Apply powder of Poria cocos sclerotium (Sclerotium Poriae) every night. Healing occurs after fourteen days (two seven-day periods).

Another prescription: Decoction of Alternanthera philoxeroides (Herba Alternantherae Philoxeroidis) and Stephania tetrandra root (Radix Stephaniae Tetrandrae) for washing, or dry and grind into powder for external application; this is very effective.

Another prescription: Mash tender tips of Xanthium strumarium leaves (Folium Xanthii) with a little salt. Between May and June, rub the face more than ten times daily; this is effective.

Another prescription: For treating acne rosacea, mix eagle droppings (Avis Aquilae Excrementum), prepared Aconitum carmichaelii (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata), concha margaritifera (Concha Margaritifera), Poria cocos sclerotium (Sclerotium Poriae), Angelica dahurica (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae), minium (Minium), and Kaempferia galanga rhizome (Rhizoma Kaempferiae), each five qian (approx. 15-25g). Grind together into powder, mix with honey, rub onto the face, and wash off the next day.

Apply plum kernel (Semen Pruni Armeniacae) mixed with egg white (Ovi Gallii Albumen); the lesions will fall off.

Another prescription: Grind soap bean (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis) and apricot kernel (Semen Armeniacae Amarum) equally fine. At night, mix with saliva and apply.

Another prescription: Mash fresh orange peel (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae) while wet and apply nightly.

Another prescription: Mix powder of Aconitum carmichaelii prepared product (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata) with water and apply frequently; the lesions will all fall off.

Equal parts of peach blossom (Flos Persicae) and winter melon seed (Semen Benincasae) are ground into powder, mixed with honey, and applied.

On the seventh day of the seventh lunar month at noon, take seventy-one gourd leaves (Folium Cucurbitae), walk directly into the north hall, stand facing south, and wipe the face with each leaf individually; the marks will vanish.

Decoct Centipeda minima herb (Herba Centipedae) and wash the face daily.

Roast and grind Pinellia ternata tuber (Tuber Pinelliae), mix with rice vinegar (Acetum Oryzae) for application. Avoid exposure to wind. Apply without limit on frequency, from morning to evening continuously. Afterwards, wash with Sanjiao Tang (Triangle Decoction); the face becomes smooth and jade-like.
