To treat chronic red eye inflammation (persistent redness, swelling, and pain of the eyes).

Take one male chicken liver that has never touched water, remove the red veins, place it in 6 liang of rice wine fermentation, stew over boiling water until cooked, strain out the residue, and consume the broth and liver together. Take another dose every two days for immediate recovery.

Calculus Bubali (Xihuang/Niu Huang) (3 fen), Moschus (Shexiang) (1.5 qian), Frankincense (Ruxiang), Myrrh (Moyao) (each defatted, each 1 liang, all ground into extremely fine powder), Yellow Glutinous Rice (Huangmi Fan) (1 liang)
Pound into a paste to form pills. Avoid roasting over fire; dry in the sun. Take 3 qian washed down with aged wine. For lesions in the upper body, take before bedtime; for lesions in the lower body, take on an empty stomach.
Ma said: Long-term use of Xihuang Wan will inevitably damage Stomach Qi. It is not suitable for those with deficiency-fire. It must absolutely not be used for Lung Abscess. It is also not suitable for Breast Cancer, Scrofula, Phlegm Nodules, and similar conditions.
