Take two tael of finely refined powder from the plastron (plastrum) and Strychnos nux-vomica (Nux Vomica), and one tael of powder from Aconitum carmichaelii (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata), mix them evenly. Take 0.7 fen per dose, administered with high-quality aged wine at dawn (five watches). Induce intoxication and cover the patient to induce sweating. After taking the medicine, the painful area will become more painful, and the numb area will become more numb, accompanied by dizziness, sweating on the back, and a sense of heaviness or confusion. These symptoms will stabilize after approximately four to five *ke* (quarter-hours), and upon stabilization, recovery occurs. If there is no sensation of pain or numbness after taking the medicine, continue administration until sensation returns.
Soak four taels of prepared Rehmannia root (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) in two jin of distilled grain spirit. Heat it over water until warm, stir evenly with a bamboo chopstick, let it cool, and drink according to tolerance daily until cured. When drinking, consume both the soaked Rehmannia root and the wine.
Ma stated: This formula is suitable for patients with deficiency constitution; it should not be used for those with wind-dampness invading the collaterals.
For whole-body pain, use equal parts of Angelica sinensis (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Cinnamon twig (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Corydalis rhizome (Yanhusuo), and Gastrodia elata (Gastrodiae Rhizoma) ground into powder. Divide into five doses, taken with wine, which can lead to cure.
Use one qian each of Corydalis rhizome (Yanhusuo), Cinnamon heart (Cinnamomi Cortex), Angelica sinensis (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Trogopterus dung (Excrementum Trogopterori), Costus root (Aucklandiae Radix), Angelica dahurica (Bai Zhi), and Saposhnikovia root (Saposhnikoviae Radix). Decoct with wine and take well after meals. Continuous administration for three days can relieve pain.
These herbs are ineffective for this condition. Only roasted goat feces carbonized and powdered, taken with wine in a dose of two qian, is highly effective.
Use three qian of Angelica dahurica (Bai Zhi), one qian of Gastrodia elata (Gastrodiae Rhizoma), one qian of Saposhnikovia root (Saposhnikoviae Radix), and 1.5 qian of Schizonepeta spike (Schizonepetae Spica). Decoct and take orally for immediate cure.
Take fresh Dandelion (Taraxaci Herba), roast it on a tile until charred black but retaining its medicinal properties, grind into powder. Take 0.5 fen per dose, mix with distilled grain spirit to form a ball, hold in the mouth, and then swallow with grain spirit. Once pain ceases, continue taking for five days for complete recovery. Avoid raw and cold foods. Alternatively, use four fen of high-quality Safflower (Carthami Flos) from Hongfang, and ten jujube heads (Zizyphi Fructus), add two bowls of water, decoct until the jujubes are cooked. Remove the flowers, and consume the soup and jujubes together. Continuous administration for twenty days can permanently eradicate the root cause.
In areas affected by abdominal masses (Pi Xi), the skin definitely lacks fine hair. Mark these areas clearly with a pen circle. Use six taels of Lead monoxide (Mie Tuo Seng), five qian of Ferula gum resin (Asafoetida), one tael of Notopterygium root (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), three qian each of Carthamus tinctorius seed (Carthami Semen) and Musk (Moschus). Fry in one jin of sesame oil until a plaster is formed, remove the fire heat, and apply to the affected area. Newly onset cases resolve with one plaster; long-standing cases resolve with two plasters. Additionally, grind three qian of Carthamus tinctorius seed into powder, soak in two jin of strong liquor, and drink as needed until cured.
Ma stated: This must only be used by individuals who eat coarse food, have strong stomach function, and robust physical constitution. Women must particularly examine the pulse and differentiate symptoms; they should not attempt this treatment.
