"Zhuisi" (Corrosive Therapy) is a method of auxiliary treatment, not involving acupuncture. When a carbuncle or ulcer is swollen and the pain is unbearable, one may add corrosive herbs such as *Chuan Shan Jia* (Pangolin Scales), *Zao Jiao Ci* (Gleditsiae Spina), and *Po Gu Zhi* (Psoraleae Fructus) to internal "Tuoli" (Supporting the Interior) decoctions. Externally, applying "Zhentou San" (Needle Head Powder) to the apex of the ulcer induces corrosion, causing foul necrotic tissue to slough off naturally, pus to drain, and toxins to dissipate. Another method involves using leeches to suck toxic blood from the apex of the ulcer. Although this is a good method, most modern people find it repulsive. It is recorded here for convenience of use.
This is because dead flesh is hard and does not rot, but instead erodes healthy flesh, causing the lesion to spread beyond its original site, resulting in severe pain and restlessness day and night. If one applies medication to remove dead flesh, the healthy flesh suffers intense pain; if one applies medication to regenerate muscle, the ulceration worsens. For example, in cases of back carbuncles, ding sores, or trauma-induced toxicity, if dead flesh invades internally, failure to urgently excise it with a knife may allow internal toxins to invade the subcutaneous fat membranes and viscera, often leading to untreatable conditions. Is there not reason to fear this? The *Neijing* states: "When the disease is in the blood vessels, lancing it leads to cure." It also states: "Those who are averse to needles and knives cannot be taught the highest subtleties of medicine." Alternatively, administering one dose of "Weijing San" (Fear-Needle Powder) beforehand yields better results.
Generally, when the toxin of an ulcer has subsided but pus and fluid remain abundant, the ulcerated area is stable, with only slight pain or itching, and muscle has not yet regenerated. If ointments are not applied, the red granulation tissue lacks protection, making it difficult to withstand wind and cold. Therefore, applying ointments such as "Taiyi Gao" (Great One Ointment) helps retain pus and promote muscle growth, preventing invasion by wind pathogens. Internally, one should tonify and support the interior to harmonize qi and blood and restore vitality. Once the body is strong, how can various ulcers lead to deterioration?
If the ulcer has deteriorated, with continuous leakage, and the patient is weak, unresponsive to various treatments, suffering for years without meeting a skilled physician, wasting money, and feeling hopeless, compounded by sexual exhaustion causing the ulcer tissue to turn purple-black, with floating necrotic tissue and accumulation of evil blood due to heat-dampness or physical trauma, even medications like *Bing Pian* (Borneol), *Ru Xiang* (Frankincense), *Mo Yao* (Myrrh), and *Xue Jie* (Dragon's Blood) would be ineffective. Little do they know there is another excellent method, not found in historical ulcer texts. Having traveled in the jianghu for years, I visited famous mountains and sought out extraordinary individuals, met many, and requested their secret methods. These are recorded below, having saved many lives. This method can dissipate yin qi, make muscles red and vibrant, regenerate tissue, and immediately stop pus discharge. It is wonderful; words cannot fully describe it.
