It belongs to the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian. This meridian has abundant Qi but scarce Blood. It occurs at acupoints such as Jinggu (BL64) located posterior to the fifth toe of the foot. If it suppurates after five to seven days, and the pus is yellowish-white in small quantity, the prognosis is good. If the pus is black, does not suppurate, and itching is severe, it is incurable.
