[Unnamed Swelling and Toxicity]
Lymphatic Tuberculosis (Tuberculosis of cervical lymph nodes). Occurs between the neck, chest, and axilla. The color is purple with connected spots. There is no pain or itching. If it is Vitiligo (Bai Bo Feng), the shape resembling cloud patches is different.
Weilingxian San (Clematis Powder) treats Dianteng (Alopecia Areata), Nangfeng (Skin Cyst-like Diseases), Ziyun Feng (Erythematous Skin Diseases), Toufeng (Head Skin Diseases), Lijie Feng (Skin Diseases Caused by Joint Lesions), Poshang Feng (Post-traumatic Infection), skin itching, as well as Scabies, Tinea, Lymphatic Tuberculosis, and unnamed swelling/toxicity.
Weilingxian (Caulis Clematidis Radix): Mixed with wine, steamed nine times, and sun-dried nine times.
Grind into powder. Take two qian per dose. Administer with wine. Alternatively, form pills using rice paste. Tea and wheat products are strictly forbidden.
Songqi Wan, Gao Wan, Soushun Fengqi Wan (All recorded in the "Lei Feng" chapter).
Vitiligo (Bai Bo Feng). Occurs on the neck and face. Spreads over the whole body. The color is mottled white. There is also no pain or itching. The shape resembles cloud patches. It is appropriate to first scrape the affected area until dry and painful, then apply Mullet Fat (Man Yu Zhi). Three applications will yield self-evident effects. Internally take Fuping Wan or Xuancao Gao. This may achieve efficacy.
Fuping Wan (Mud Plant Pill) treats all kinds of wind diseases: Leprosy, Head Wind, Dianteng, and Wind Rash. This medicine is pungent in taste and cold in nature. It is light and clear, entering the Lung Meridian. It reaches the skin and induces sweating. Its function is identical to that of Ephedrae Herba (Ma Huang).
Fuping (Mud Plant / Herba Lemnae): Select large leaves with a purple back, place them on a bamboo mat above a water basin, and sun-dry.
Grind into powder. Form pills the size of bullet seeds using refined honey. Administer with Doulin Jiu (Black Bean Wine).
Doulin Jiu Preparation Method: Half sheng of black beans. Stir-fry until smoke rises. Pour in three sheng of good wine. Soak for one week. Remove beans and take the wine. Use to deliver the medicine.
Xuancao Gao (Xanthium Ointment) treats various wind diseases and dampness-wind. Limb contracture. All sores and rashes.
Fresh Xanthium (Fructus Xanthii): With roots and leaves. Take fifty to seventy jin. Wash clean and chop. Put into a large pot. Boil until soft and extract the juice. Filter through silk cloth. Re-boil into an ointment. Store in porcelain jars. When used, pick up one spoonful with a mulberry wood spoon and hold it in the mouth. Then swallow with yellow wine. It has the power of reviving the dead. After taking the medicine, small sores like bean grains will appear at the site of the wind disease. This indicates the expulsion of wind toxin. Pierce them to drain the fluid completely. It will heal spontaneously.
Dianteng (Pityriasis Versicolor / Sweat Spots). Commonly known as sweat spots. Purple is due to blood stasis. White is due to qi stagnation. Both result from a hot constitution invaded by wind-dampness, remaining in the Cou Li (skin pores and interstitial spaces). Scratching causes peeling but no pain. This comes from external invasion. Treatment should employ diaphoresis (sweating method). Such as Gan Zhu Dan, Songqi Wan, Fuping, Xuancao, etc. Additionally, moxa the Jia Bai acupoint. Rub with Ba Weiling San. Efficacy will naturally be obtained. It is not as difficult to treat as Vitiligo.
Ba Weiling San (Eight-Ingredient Weiling Powder) for rubbing purple and white vitiligo.
Da Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root): One qian. Chuan Wu (Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii) and Cao Wu (Radix Aconiti Karakolicum): Each one qian. Xiong Huang (Realgar): Five fen. Zhu Sha (Cinnabar): Five fen. Hong Pi (Red Arsenic): Four fen. Liu Huang (Sulfur): Three fen. She Xiang (Musk): Two fen.
Grind all together into fine powder. Dilute with egg white. Starch two small hemp handkerchiefs. Air-dry. Mix river water, ginger juice, and rice vinegar. Dip the medicated handkerchief in the mixture and rub the affected area. Rub when moving and sweating occurs. Treatment in summer is especially good.
Moxibustion Method for Jia Bai Acupoint: First, mark ink on both nipples. Then have the patient extend both arms straight to clamp the nipples. The black-marked areas are the acupoints. Moxa fourteen moxibustion cones (Zhuang). Or prick with needles to bleed. This will also cure the condition.
Fuping Fuling Wan (Mud Plant and Poria Pill) for treating purple and white vitiligo.
Fuping (Herba Lemnae): One part. Fuling (Poria): Half part.
Grind the above into powder. Form pills using refined honey, sized like wutong seeds. Take two to three qian per dose. Administer with yellow wine.
