乳蛾肺经风火成，双轻单重喉旁生，状若蚕蛾红肿痛，关前易治关后凶。
【注】此证由肺经积热，受风凝结而成。生咽喉之旁，状如蚕蛾，亦有形若枣栗者，红
肿疼痛，有单有双，双者轻，单者重。生于关前者，形色易见，吹药易到，手法易施，故
易治；生于关后者，难见形色，药吹不到，手法难施，故难治。俱宜服清咽利膈汤，吹冰
硼散。易见者脓熟针之，难见者用鸡翎探吐脓血。若兼痰壅气急声小，探叶不出者险，急
用三棱针刺少商穴，出紫黑血，仍吹、服前药，缓缓取效。

喉瘤郁热属肺经，多语损气相兼成，形如元眼红丝裹，或单或双喉旁生。
【注】此证由肺经郁热，更兼多语损气而成。形如元眼，红丝相裹，或单或双，生于
喉旁。亦有顶大蒂小者，不犯不痛，或醇酒炙，或因怒气喊叫，犯之则痛。忌用针刀，
宜服益气清金汤以消瘤，碧玉散点之即效。
益气清金汤
苦桔梗（三钱） 黄芩（二钱） 浙贝母（去心，研） 麦冬（去心） 牛蒡子（炒，研，各一钱
五分） 人参 白茯苓 陈皮 生栀子（研） 薄荷 甘草（生，各一钱） 紫苏（五分）
竹叶三十片，水三盅，煎一盅，食远服。
渣再煎服。
【方歌】益气清金肺热攻，注喉成瘤元眼形，陈蒡芩苏苦桔贝，麦冬栀薄草参苓。
清瘤碧玉散
硼砂（三钱） 冰片 胆矾（各三分）
共研细末，用时以箸头蘸药，点患处。
【方歌】消瘤碧玉点喉瘤，开结通喉热可搜，君以硼砂冰片兑，胆矾末入患皆瘳。
Ru'e (Millet-like Tonsillitis) is caused by wind and fire in the Lung Meridian. Bilateral cases are mild, while unilateral cases are severe, appearing on both sides of the throat. Its appearance resembles a silkworm moth, accompanied by redness, swelling, and pain. Cases located anterior to the fauces (throat gate) are easy to treat, whereas those posterior to the fauces are ominous/difficult to treat.
[Note] This condition arises from accumulated heat in the Lung Meridian combined with congealing due to wind pathogen. It grows beside the pharynx, resembling a silkworm moth, or sometimes like a jujube or chestnut, presenting with redness, swelling, and pain. There are unilateral and bilateral forms; bilateral cases are mild, while unilateral cases are severe. Those arising anterior to the fauces have visible shapes and colors, allowing medicaments to be blown easily and techniques to be applied readily, thus making them easy to treat. Those arising posterior to the fauces have obscured shapes and colors, preventing medicaments from reaching the site and hindering manual techniques, thus making them difficult to treat. All cases should take Qingyan Lige Tang (Clear Throat and Benefit Diaphragm Decoction) and apply Bingpeng San (Borneol and Borax Powder). For visible cases where pus has matured, needle drainage is used; for invisible cases, a chicken feather tube is used to induce vomiting of pus and blood. If complicated by excessive phlegm, rapid breathing, and hoarseness, where probing fails to extract pus, it is a critical condition. Urgently prick the Shaoshang (LU-11) acupoint with a three-edged needle to release dark purple-black blood, then continue applying and taking the aforementioned medicines for gradual recovery.

Bingpeng San (See Kou Bu E Kou Chuang/Mouth Area Goose Mouth Ulcer)
Houliu (Throat Tumor) involves stagnant heat belonging to the Lung Meridian, often compounded by qi damage from excessive talking. Its shape resembles a longan nut wrapped in red filaments, appearing singly or doubly on either side of the throat.
[Note] This condition results from stagnant heat in the Lung Meridian further aggravated by qi deficiency due to excessive speech. The shape resembles a longan nut, wrapped in red filaments, appearing singly or doubly beside the throat. Some have a large head and small stalk; they do not hurt unless touched. Pain may occur after consuming strong wine or roasted foods, or due to anger and shouting. Needle and knife treatments are contraindicated. It is suitable to take Yiqi Qingjin Tang (Benefit Qi and Clear Metal Decoction) to dissipate the tumor, and apply Biyu San (Jasper Powder) to the affected area for immediate effect.
Yiqi Qingjin Tang
Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 3 qian), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 2 qian), Zhebeimu (Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus, heart removed, ground), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix, heart removed), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus, stir-fried, ground, each 1.5 qian), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Baifuling (Poria, 1 qian each), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Sheng Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus, raw, ground), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, raw, 1 qian each), Zisu (Perillae Folium, 0.5 fen).
Thirty leaves of Zhuye (Bambusae Folium), three bowls of water, decocted to one bowl. Take after meals.
Decoct the dregs again and take.
[Fang Ge/Prescription Song] Yiqi Qingjin attacks lung heat, forming tumors in the throat like longan nuts, Chenpi, Niubang, Huangqin, Zisu, Jiegeng, Beimu, Maidong, Zhizi, Bohe, Gancao, Renshen, and Fuling.
Qingliu Biyu San (Tumor-Dissolving Jasper Powder)
Pengsha (Borax, 3 qian), Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum), Danfan (Chalcanthite, each 0.3 fen).
Grind together into fine powder. When using, dip the tip of chopsticks into the medicine and apply to the lesion.
[Fang Ge/Prescription Song] Biyu San applied to throat tumors dissolves them, opening knots and clearing the throat to search out heat. The sovereign ingredients are Borax and Borneol mixed, with Chalcanthite powder entering to cure all ailments.
