Injury from the "She Gong" insect causes inevitable itching and pain, which may even lead to the rotting of flesh and bone forming ulcers. Apply a paste of fermented soybeans (Douchi) externally and wash with decoction of Angelica dahurica (Baizhi); if already ulcerated, applying powder of cuttlefish bone (Haipiaoxiao) is effective.
[Note] The "She Gong" refers to various hairy insects found in trees, also known as "Wa Ci Chong". Upon contact, it can shoot toxic hairs at people. Initially, there is itching followed by pain, feeling like burning fire. Over time, external itching and internal pain occur, leading to the rotting of flesh and bone, rendering various medicines ineffective. Apply a mixture of fermented soybeans (Douchi) and clear oil to the painful and itchy area; after a while, the toxic hairs will become visible. Remove the soybean paste and wash with decoction of Angelica dahurica (Baizhi). If the flesh has rotted, sprinkle powder of cuttlefish bone (Haipiaoxiao) on it for cure.
Bite from an earthworm involves poisoning by its toxins, resulting in the loss of eyebrows and beard without trace. The method is to frequently wash with saline solution, and over time, the toxin will naturally dissipate.
[Note] Earthworm bite injury implies poisoning by earthworm toxins. It causes the loss of all eyebrows and beards, resembling leprosy, except that the abnormal sign is the sound of worms buzzing inside the body at night. It is suitable to frequently wash with saline solution, and the toxin will naturally go away.
Tian She Chuang (Heavenly Snake Sore) erupts within the skin and muscles, presenting a form that resembles but is not true leprosy. The etiology is toxicity from spiders in the grass, compounded by invasion of dew.
[Note] This condition arises on the skin and muscles, resembling but not being true leprosy. It is caused by bites from flowering spiders in the grass, further aggravated by exposure to dew. The treatment should involve decocting a single herb, Gastrodia elata (Qinjiao), drinking the decoction slowly; externally, apply Er Wei Ba Du San (Two-Ingredient Antitoxic Powder) with great effect.
Er Wei Ba Du San (See Swelling and Ulcer Section)
Urine from hidden wall insects sprayed onto the skin, if accidentally contacted, causes pain like burning烙 iron, sized like a bean. Treat with saline solution or Er Wei Ba Du San.
[Note] This insect is also called a centipede-like creature, hiding in walls and spraying urine. If one accidentally encounters its toxin, it causes blistering water sores on the skin, with pain like burning iron, initially the size of rice grains, later enlarging to the size of beans. Soak cotton in saline solution and apply to the sore, changing multiple times until it subsides; if severe, the toxin spreads over the whole body with incessant itching, apply Er Wei Ba Du San externally with great effect.

Do not panic when insects accidentally enter the ear. Roast meat and place the aroma near the ear to attract them out. Sit alone under a night lamp to guide the insect out, or drip sesame oil into the ear to kill the insect.
[Note] When hundred insects accidentally enter the ear (such as flies, mosquitoes, small bugs), drip several drops of Sesame Oil (Mahu) into the ear canal; the insect dies and can be removed. For creatures like house centipedes entering, roast meat until fragrant and place it beside the ear; the insect will exit upon smelling the fragrance. If entering in the dark at night, do not panic or shout loudly, which might force the insect deeper. Sit upright and shine a light towards the ear canal; the insect will exit seeing the light. If someone is opposite, the insect may not exit; everyone should move aside for effectiveness.
