Infant prolapse of the rectum originates from deficiency of Lung Qi; Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) should be used first. If accompanied by swelling, induration, and pain, accumulated heat must be cleared, using Zang Lian Wan (Intestine-Coating Pill).
[Note] This condition is caused by Qi deficiency in infants, resulting in the protrusion of the anus outside the body. It should be treated with Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) added with Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Bai Shao (Radix Paeoniae Alba), and Wei Jiang (Prepared Ginger Rhizome). If symptoms include swelling, induration, and pain, it indicates damp-heat within the interior; a formula that clears heat and removes dampness should be administered. If Zang Du (Visceral Toxin, a type of anal disease caused by damp-heat accumulation in the intestines) occurs, causing the anus to evert, Zang Lian Wan (Intestine-Coating Pill) is the primary treatment. For external treatment, wash the area with a decoction of Wu Bei Zi (Galla Chinensis), Lao Cong Tou (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus), and Xiao Ming Xiao (Mirabilite Natrii Sulfatis Crystal). Apply Kan Gong Ding Zi (Kan Palace Plaster) to the swollen area; both methods are effective.

Anal pruritus is caused by parasitic erosion; small white sores will inevitably appear on the lower lip. Administer Jiu Wei Lu Hui Wan (Nine-Ingredient Aloe Vera Pill) internally, and externally sprinkle powder made of Tong Lv (Malachite) and Xiong Huang (Realgar).
[Note] This condition manifests as anal pruritus in infants, caused by parasitic erosion. Observe the inside of the lower lip; small white sores will definitely appear. Alternatively, small nodules resembling a string of beads may form before and behind the ears. Medical texts state: "Sores on the lower lip indicate parasitic erosion of the anus." It is appropriate to administer Lu Hui Wan (Aloe Vera Pill). Externally, grind Xiong Huang (Realgar) and Tong Lv (Malachite) into equal parts of fine powder and apply it to the affected area for immediate effect.

Congenital residual toxins are formed during fetal development, categorized into inherited (Bing Shou) and acquired/infected (Ran Shou) types. Cases without skin protection and with reddened bodies are difficult to cure; if red spots appear on the skin followed by ulceration, acquired infection can still be cured, but congenital inheritance of toxin is difficult to treat.
[Note] This condition involves congenital residual toxins in the placenta, divided into Bing Shou (inherited from parents) and Ran Shou (acquired through transmission). In cases of Bing Shou, the parents suffered from Yang Mei Chuang (Syphilis/Kapok Sores) before conception; after birth, the infant's entire body is red and lacks skin, with toxins attacking the nine orifices, leading to ulceration and maceration. This condition is difficult to cure, with almost no survivors. In cases of Ran Shou, conception occurred first, and the parents contracted Yang Mei Chuang (Syphilis/Kapok Sores) later; the toxic qi was transmitted to the fetus. After birth, the infant presents with pitted depressions on the head, red spots appearing on the skin first, followed by ulcerative patches. Severe cases involve toxins attacking the corners of the mouth, eye sockets, ears, nose, anterior yin, and anus, causing severe ulceration. Initially, use San Ren Huang (Human Midden Yellow) finely ground, 3-5 fen, mixed with a thick decoction of Tu Fu Ling (Smilax Glabra Rhizome), taken two to three times daily. Apply Tai Yi Zi Jin Ding (Taiyi Purple Gold Plaster) moistened with water to swollen areas. For ulcerated areas, use Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex) honey-fried and ground into powder to sprinkle; if dry, mix with Sesame Oil (Xiang You) for application. If the medication proves effective, subsequently administer Er Huang San (Two-Yellow Powder); four out of ten patients may survive. If the toxin spreads throughout the body, causing incessant crying day and night and refusal to feed, it indicates extreme toxicity and weak Qi, making rescue ultimately impossible.
Er Huang San (Two-Yellow Powder)
Hu Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma variant/Hulian), Shan Ci Gu (Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus) (each 2 qian), Gan Cao (Licorice Root, raw, 1.5 qian), Niu Huang (Calculus Bovis) (0.7 fen)
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder. Take 3 fen per dose, mixed with honey water.
[Prescription Verse] Er Huang San treats residual toxins, combining Hu Lian, Gan Cao, and Niu Huang; Shan Ci Gu is ground into fine powder, take 3 fen per dose with honey water.
