The ankle corresponds to Zi; the waist to Chou; the eyes to Yin; the face to Mao; the head to Chen; the hands to Si; the chest to Wu; the abdomen to Wei; the Heart to Shen; the back to You; the head to Xu; and the thighs to Hai.

The location of Kao Shen (Coccyx Spirit) has its roots: Kun position corresponds to the medial and lateral malleoli, preserved by sages; Zhen palace corresponds to teeth and mouth, worth remembering; Xun position resides at the nipples; the Central Palace connects the shoulder bone and coccyx; the back and eyes flow from the Qian position upstream; the arms are in the Dui palace, difficult for Bian stone therapy and moxibustion; Gen palace corresponds to the waist and neck, also requiring cessation; Li position corresponds to the knees, ribs, and hypochondrium, making acupuncture difficult; Kan position corresponds to the elbows, connecting to the abdomen and feet. For physicians to precisely understand the Kao Shen formula ensures that various diseases will not interfere with taboo concerns.
This was established by Shennong, starting from Kun in the first year and Zhen in the second year, flying sequentially through the Nine Palaces each year, cycling repeatedly. Wherever the annual year arrives, it becomes the site of decline. Moxibustion and acupuncture are strictly contraindicated; do not violate this, otherwise other diseases may arise.
Method for Securing the Jar for Sheng Da Ling Yao (Ascending Strike Spiritual Medicine):
It is suitable to use a Yangcheng jar. Heat the jar, crush garlic, and rub it all over the outside of the jar. Heat again and rub again, repeating three or four times. Then, pour ginger and vinegar into the jar, rinse and boil until dry. Next, mix two parts yellow earth and two parts coal ash with horsehair and salt water. Secure the jar with a thickness of one finger, dry in the shade. If cracks appear, secure them again. It must be completely solid before use.
Method for Sealing the Jar Mouth for Sheng Da Ling Yao:
After placing the medicine, cover with an iron lid. Use gypsum and Wumingyi (Pyrolusite) in equal parts, and half the amount of salt, all ground into extremely fine powder. Mix with vinegar to form a paste. Add two or three pieces of charcoal inside the lid, heat the lid, and use a brush to apply the medicine paste around the rim. Apply as it dries until level with the mouth. Alternatively, use gypsum, raw alum, and salt in equal parts, ground into powder, mixed with water, and applied as described above.
Method for Refining Gold-Topped Arsenic:
Use one jin (approx. 500g) of lead. Melt it in a small jar over charcoal fire. Throw two liang (approx. 60g) of white arsenic onto the molten lead. Refine until the smoke is exhausted. Remove, cool, and open. The gold-topped arsenic will crystallize on the surface of the lead. Take it off for use.
Method for Preparing Han Shi Mian (Cold Food Flour):
Use one jin of white flour. Prepare another half jin of flour, mix with water to a thick consistency, roll into two thin sheets. Wrap the first sheet inside the second, sealing the edges tightly. Steam on the Qingming Festival (Tomb-Sweeping Day). Hang in a ventilated place to dry in the shade. Store wrapped in flour. Do not let women touch it. The longer it is stored, the more effective it becomes.
