Translation:
Whenever one suffers from beating with a staff, immediately drink it mixed with hot wine and *tongbian* (urine of a healthy child). Subsequently, take one dose of *Biancheng Shier Yin* (Twelve-Ingredient Decoction of the Border City), and externally apply *Qizhen Gao* (Seven-True Ointment) or *Pengtou Dan* (Head-Supporting Elixir). For severe injuries, initially use [missing text, likely blood-breaking agents]. If initial treatment was neglected, and after a long time the wound ulcerates, becomes necrotic, painful, accompanied by weakness in form and qi, then supplementation and expulsion methods are indispensable. It is appropriate to use formulas such as *Bazhen Tang* (Eight-Treasure Decoction) or *Baoyuan Tang* (Preserve-Origin Decoction), using raw *Baizhu* (Atractylodis Rhizoma) and *Cangzhu* (Atractylodis Rhizoma) to vigorously regulate Spleen Qi to support and lift Blood and Qi. When the Spleen is robust, Yuan Qi recovers daily, muscles regenerate naturally, ensuring safety without worry. Even if there is occasional blood stasis, adding a small amount of *Ruxiang* (Olibanum) and *Moyao* (Myrrha) for dispersion is sufficient.
For any complicated manifestations, refer to and treat them similarly to traumatic injuries from falls and blows.
First, in cases where circumstances are unavoidable, suffering unexpected harm, and heavy punishment is inevitable, one should pre-administer *Tiebu Shan Wan* (Iron Shirt Pill) to endure punishment without pain. Even under cruel torture, severe pain will not occur.
First, for [missing disease name, likely a type of tinea], use equal parts of *Haifengteng* (Sargentodoxae Caulis), *Xuanshen* (Scrophulariae Radix), *Fangfeng* (Saposhnikoviae Radix), and *Jingjie* (Schizonepetae Spica). Decoct into a concentrated decoction to wash the affected area. For severe itching, apply *Jinpi Jiu* (Hibiscus Bark Wine).
First, for toxic sores developing after beating, use 1 liang of *Wubeizi* (Gallae Chinensis), 3 qian of *Nanxing* (Arisaematis Rhizoma Praeparatum), 1 qian of *Banxia* (Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum), and 1 qian of *Xuejie* (Dracaenae Sangues). Grind together into fine powder, mix with rice vinegar, and apply topically.
*Biancheng Shier Yin* (Twelve-Ingredient Decoction of the Border City)
*Dangguiwei* (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), *Puhuang* (Pollinis Typhae), *Honghua* (Carthami Flos), *Sumu* (Lignum Santali Rubrum), *Taoren* (Persicae Semen), *Danpi* (Moutan Cortex), *Ruxiang* (Olibanum), *Moyao* (Myrrha), *Zisu* (Perillae Folium) (each 1 qian); *Shengdihuang* (Rehmanniae Radix), *Chishao* (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), *Jiudahuang* (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma processed with wine) (each 2 qian).
Decoct these ingredients with half water and half wine.
*Qizhen Gao* (Seven-True Ointment)
*Ruxiang* (Olibanum, de-oiled and ground separately), *Moyao* (Myrrha, de-oiled and ground separately), *Qingfen* (Calomelas), *Sanqi* (Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, roasted), *Ercha* (Catechu) (each 3 qian); *Shexiang* (Moschus) (4 fen); *Bingpian* (Borneolum Syntheticum) (7 fen).
Grind all ingredients into fine powder, mix uniformly, and store in a bottle for use. (Note: Do not wash beating wounds with hot water; mix this ointment with honey and apply to the wound, cover with thin cotton paper, and moisten with honey when dry.)
*Pengtou Dan* (Head-Supporting Elixir)
*Dahuang* (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) (1 liang); *Moyao* (Myrrha, de-oiled), *Ruxiang* (Olibanum, de-oiled), *Zhangnao* (Camphora) (each 5 qian); *Ercha* (Catechu) (3 qian).
Grind all into fine powder, mix with honey, and apply topically. Treats critical conditions from severe beating, providing immediate pain relief.
*Tiebu Shan Wan* (Iron Shirt Pill)
*Dangguiwei* (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), *Dilong* (Pheretima, prepared powder), *Chuanxiong* (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), *Wumingyi* (Ilmenite), *Ercha* (Catechu) (each 1.5 liang); *Ruxiang* (Olibanum, prepared), *Zhimoyao* (Myrrha, prepared) (each 5 qian); *Xuejie* (Dracaenae Sangues) (1 liang); *Shexiang* (Moschus) (1 qian); *Mubieren* (Momordicae Semen, prepared powder) (1.5 liang).
Grind all into fine powder, make pills with vinegar the size of longan seeds. Take one pill with wine. If taken accidentally without being beaten, detoxify with scallion juice.
Formula for Pain Relief from Beating (Verified Experience)
Use 1 liang of *Baila* (Cera Flava), cut finely, place in a bowl, and drink with boiling wine.
Formula for Staff Wounds
Use one whole plant of *Fengxianhua* (Impatiens balsamina), including roots, stems, and leaves, crush and apply to the affected area. Reapply if it dries. The blood disperses and heals overnight. If fresh plants are unavailable, collect in autumn and grind into powder.
*Baoyuan Tang* (Preserve-Origin Decoction) (General Use No. 28)
*Bazhen Tang* (Eight-Treasure Decoction) (General Use No. 25)
*Jinpi Jiu* (Hibiscus Bark Wine) (See Scabies with Indeterminate Location)
