Pediatric stroke with paralysis (limb immobility) is caused by wind pathogen invading the limbs and joints, affecting the meridians and sinews. If the wind pathogen combines with cold qi, it leads to spasms, cramps, and pain; if it combines with heat, other heat-related symptoms manifest.
For treating pediatric stroke with immobility of the four limbs and inability to walk, use Xuming Tang (Cure-all Decoction).
Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 麻黄) (1 liang, remove roots and nodes), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, 石膏) (1 liang), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁) (10 seeds, soak in hot water, remove skin and tips, discard double-kernel ones, stir-fry until slightly yellow), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草) (1 liang, honey-fried until slightly red, sliced).

The above ingredients are ground into fine powder, mixed with the already finely ground substances, and blended uniformly. Blend with refined honey to form pills the size of hemp seeds. Take 5 pills per dose, administered with a decoction of Schizonepetae Herba (Jingjie) and Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (Bohe).
For treating pediatric stroke with hand and foot immobility when other medicines are ineffective, take Bimazi San (Castor Seed Powder).
Ricini Semen (Bimazi, 蓖麻子) (20 seeds, remove skin and grind separately), Nest Passeris Domesticus (Que'er Faweng, 雀儿饭瓮) (10 pieces), Scorpio (Ganxie, 干蝎) (30 pieces), Punicae Fructus (Shiliu, 石榴) (1 large fruit).
Take the above four ingredients. Remove the seeds from the pomegranate, keep the peel to about 70% capacity, and place the other three ingredients inside. Wrap tightly with mud into a ball shape. Roast slowly over low heat until dry, then burn until thoroughly red-hot.
