Prescription for treating infantile Niaozao Huodan:
*Morii Cortex* (one *jin*)
Finely chop the herb. Boil in seven *sheng* of water until reduced to four *sheng*. Strain the dregs. Allow the liquid to cool or warm appropriately, and use it to bathe the child away from drafts.

Finely grind into powder. Mix with egg white and apply topically.
Infants with deficient muscles are susceptible to invasion by wind-toxic heat qi. When heat-toxin contends with blood and qi, the skin becomes red and swollen. The wind pathogen moves unpredictably following the qi circulation.
For treating infantile Chiyou Dan (Red Wandering Erysipelas), where the skin presents as patchy redness and swelling caused by wind-heat, it is appropriate to administer Xijiao San Powder.

Pulverize the above herbs finely and sieve through a fine mesh. Take half a *qian* mixed with decoction of bamboo leaves, at any time. Adjust the dosage according to the child's age and size.
For treating infantile head, face, and body red-toxic lesions presenting as patchy swelling, Shengma Ointment is appropriate.
