Verrucae (Warts) in children are growths attached to the skin, resembling wheat grains or beans in size, with a color identical to the surrounding flesh. Commonly known as "verrucae" (warts), they typically number only three or five.
Prescription for treating verrucae in children:
Sangchai Hui (Ash of mulberry branch wood) [4 jin, leached with hot water, the juice collected and boiled in a clay pot until viscous like maltose], Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata) [2 pieces, peeled and navel removed, used raw], Naosha (Natrii Chloridi Crystallis / Rock Salt processed with alum) [1 fen, finely ground].
The above medicines are crushed, sieved into powder, mixed evenly with the prepared viscous liquid. Apply a small amount directly onto the verruca; it will fall off naturally. This is also effective for treating black moles.
Another prescription:
Sangpi Hui (Ash of mulberry bark) and Aihui (Ash of Artemisia argyi leaves) [3 sheng each].
Leach the herbs with 5 sheng of water, repeating the leaching process three times. Soak a piece of five-colored silk fabric in the juice and boil together until dissolved. Dab a small amount of this solution onto the verruca, causing it to rot and detach.
Another prescription:
Nuomi (Oryza sativa var. glutinosa seeds) [50 grains].
Bury the rice in warm Duanshi (Calcined lime) until it rots. Puncture the verruca with a needle and apply the rotted rice; it will fall off after one night.
Another prescription:
Liuhuang (Sulfur), finely ground and applied to the verruca. Repeat six or seven times.
Another prescription:
Songzhi (Pini Resina) and Bozhi (Platycladi Resina) crushed into powder, mixed with Duanshi juice. Apply a small amount to the wart; it will fall off naturally.
Another prescription:
On the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, rub a he of soybeans over the verruca three times. Subsequently, have the patient plant a bean on the second beam at the east end of the southern room. When the bean sprouts four leaves, the verruca will fall off.
Another prescription:
Duanshi (Calcined lime) soaked in vinegar for six or seven days. Take the juice and dab it on the verruca; a slight ulceration will form, leading to its detachment.
Another prescription:
Wrap the verruca with spider silk; it will fall off.
Another prescription:
Burn Xingren (Prunus armeniaca seeds) until black, grind into a paste, and apply.
Another prescription:
Niuxian (Bovine saliva/secretion), applied frequently to the verruca; it will fall off naturally.
During the height of summer, children's skin pores are open, making them susceptible to wind-heat pathogens. The toxic qi of wind-heat clashes with the skin, resulting in miliaria (prickly heat). The condition resembles skin scalded by hot water. Mild cases...
