Pediatric scabies (Xiao'er Jie) often occurs between the fingers and toes of the hands and feet, gradually spreading to the rest of the body. Symptoms include intense pruritus (itching), accompanied by exudation of pus and blood, as well as fluid discharge. According to the *Jiu Chong Lun* (Treatise on Nine Parasites), infestation by *Enterobius vermicularis* (pinworms/Naichong) is a primary cause of such lesions.
For pediatric scabies causing itching, where scratching leads to ulceration with continuous discharge of pus and blood, the Xionghuang Ointment Formula (Xionghuang Gao Fang) is indicated.
Ingredients: Realgar (Xionghuang, 1 liang, finely ground), Orpiment (Cihuang, 1 liang, finely ground), Aconite Root Lateralis Preparata (Wutou, 1 piece), Pine Resin (Songzhi, 1 fen), Tangled Hair (Luancha, 1 fen).
Preparation: Excluding Realgar and Orpiment, take 1 jin of refined lard (Zhizhi), boil in a cauldron, add Wutou, Songzhi, Luancha, etc., until Wutou turns black... (Text truncated here)
For pediatric scabies with unrelenting itching, the Shechuangzi Powder Formula (Shechuangzi San Fang) is indicated.
Ingredients: Cnidium Fruit (Shechuangzi, 1 fen), Evodia Fruit (Wuzhuyu, 1 fen), Calomelas (Nifen), Sulfur (Huangshi, 1 fen, finely ground), Myrobalan (Wuyi, 1 fen).

For pediatric scabies covering the entire body with unrelenting pain and itching, the Huanglian Powder Formula (Huanglian San Fang) is indicated.
Ingredients: Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian, 2 liang, remove roots), Lead White (Hufen, 2 liang), Evodia Fruit (Wuzhuyu, 1 liang), Adzuki Bean (Chixiaodou, 100 grains), Quicksilver (Shuiyin, 2 liang, triturated with Hufen).
Preparation: Excluding Hufen and Shuiyin, pound and sieve the remaining herbs into powder. Mix in Hufen and Shuiyin, grinding until uniform. Blend with lard collected in the twelfth lunar month and apply to the affected area to heal sores.
To treat pediatric scabies along with hot sores on the body, the Huangbai Powder Formula (Huangbai San Fang) is indicated.
Ingredients: Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai, 1 liang, sliced), Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian, 1 liang, remove roots), Adzuki Bean (Chixiaodou, 1 liang), Arsenic Sulfide Ore (Chouhuang, 1 liang), Quicksilver (Shuiyin, 0.5 liang), Sulfur (Huangshi, 1 liang, triturated with Shuiyin).
Preparation: Pound and sieve the above herbs into powder. Mix with Chouhuang and Shuiyin sand, grinding until extremely fine. Blend with raw oil and apply three times daily.
For pediatric scabies resulting from wind invasion in utero, manifesting later in life as persistent itching, the Chouhuang Ointment Formula (Chouhuang Gao Fang) is indicated.
Ingredients: Arsenic Sulfide Ore (Chouhuang, 2 fen), Sulfur (Huangshi, 1 fen), Scallion White (Congbai, 1 stalk, finely cut).

Ingredients: Sophora Root (Kushen, 0.5 liang), Salvia Root (Danshen, 0.5 liang), Toosendan Root (Kulian Gen, 0.5 liang), Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng, 0.5 liang, remove rhizome), Dodder Seed Vine Root (Shuogen, 3 liang).
