Infants who have been weaned, due to improper regulation of cold and heat, suffer from indigestion. The undigested food clashes with the Qi of the Zang-Fu organs, condensing and stagnating without moving, which is termed "Zheng" (masses or accumulations). This food accumulation knots in the abdomen.
For pediatric food accumulation presenting with alternating chills and fever, yellowish emaciation of the four limbs, and anorexia, use Mengshi Wan (Mengshi Pill).
Mengshi (Lapis Auripigmenti et Antimonii, 1 fen) Badi Dou (Crotonis Fructus, 0.5 liang, remove heart and skin, wrap in paper and press to remove oil) Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum, 1 fen, processed until cracked and ground into powder) Sha (Realgar, 0.5 liang) Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, 1 fen)
Grind the above herbs into fine powder. Mix with the prepared paste to form pills the size of mung beans. For a three-year-old child, administer one pill per dose with clear tea water. For slightly older children, adjust the dosage accordingly.
For pediatric food accumulation presenting with alternating chills and fever, emaciation, and inability to eat, Fangkui Wan (Fangkui Pill) is suitable.
Fangkui (Radix Anemones Raddeanae, 0.5 liang) Roudoukou (Myristicae Semen, 1 fen, remove shell) Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 1 fen) Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 1 fen [Note: text implies 'liang' might be a typo or unit confusion, translating as 1 fen based on context structure but noting potential error], crushed and lightly stir-fried) Biejia (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, 1 liang, finely ground)
Grind the above herbs into fine powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mung beans. For a three-year-old child, administer five pills per dose with rice broth, two to three times daily. Adjust dosage based on the child's constitution.
For pediatric food accumulation that has persisted for a long time without resolving, Daizhe Wan (Daizhe Pill) is used.
Daizhe (Haematitum, 0.5 liang, finely ground) Badi Dou (Crotonis Fructus, 0.5 liang, remove skin and heart, grind and press in paper to remove oil) Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 1 fen, remove roots) Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos, 0.5 liang) Wulingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces, 0.5 liang)
Grind the above herbs into fine powder. Grind thoroughly to ensure uniformity. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mung beans. For a three-year-old child, administer two pills on an empty stomach with rice broth. Adjust dosage based on the child's size.
For pediatric food accumulation characterized by difficulty eating and emaciation of the four limbs, Muxiang Wan (Muxiang Pill) is suitable.
Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 1 fen) Zhusha (Cinnabaris, 0.5 liang, finely ground using water flotation method) Binglang (Arecae Semen, 1 fen) Daizhe (Haematitum, 0.5 liang, finely ground) Biejia (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, 0.5 liang, coated with butter and roasted until brittle) [Note: Original text appears truncated here]
