Nasal pain that is unbearable is caused by wind-cold pathogenic factors injuring the Lung organ. This is because Lung Qi connects with the nose; wind pathogens enter the nasal cavity along with the Qi and contend with the healthy Qi.
To treat wind-cold contending in the Lung organ and attacking upwards to the nose, causing nasal pain, it is appropriate to take Moyao San (Myrrh Powder).
Myrrha (Moyao), Dry Scorpion (Ganxie, stir-fried until slightly browned), Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum (Tiannanxing, processed until cracked), Realgar (Xionghuang, finely ground), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui, chopped and stir-fried until slightly browned), Cinnabar (Zhusha, finely ground), Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang, finely ground) (each half liang), Black Snake (Wushe, processed).
The above medicines are crushed and passed through a fine sieve to make a powder. Add the already ground medicines and grind evenly. After each meal, take one qian, mixed with warm wine.
For treating nasal congestion accompanied by frequent pain, use Xiongqiong Gao (Ligusticum Ointment).
Rhizoma Chuanxiong (Xiongqiong), Fructus Evodiae (Wuzhuyu), Radix Asari (Xixin), Fructus Zanthoxyli (Chuanjiao), Rhizoma Zingiberis Preparatum (Ganjiang, processed until cracked), Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis (Zaojia) (each three fen).
The above medicines are finely chopped, soaked in vinegar overnight, then combined with six liang of lard. Simmer together in a silver pot for five to seven boils. Strain out the dregs and pour into a porcelain container. [Usage instructions omitted in source].
For treating nasal pain, use Baizhi Gao (Angelica Dahurica Ointment).
Radix Angelicae Dahuricae (Baizhi), Rhizoma Chuanxiong (Xiongqiong), Caulis Akebiae (Mutong), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Flos Magnoliae Bungeanae (Xinyi) (each half liang), Radix Asari (Xixin, three fen), Herba Siegesbeckiae (Mangcao, three fen).
The above medicines are all finely chopped. Combine with one sheng of pure pork lard and simmer for five to seven boils. When the Baizhi turns scorched yellow, strain out the dregs and store in a porcelain container. [Usage instructions omitted in source].

Take five liang of Almond (Xingren), remove the skin and tips, extract the oil, and apply it. The condition will heal immediately.

To treat Lung deficiency with external invasion of wind-cold, resulting in nasal congestion, constant clear rhinorrhea, dizziness and headache, and limb stiffness, take Helile San (Terminalia Powder).
Fructus Terminalia Chebulae Preparatus (Helile, one liang, roasted, use the peel), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Baizhu, one liang), Radix Saposhnikoviae (Fangfeng, three fen, remove the root head), Radix Asari (Xixin, three fen), Radix Peucedani (Qianhu), Caulis Akebiae (Mutong, three fen, chopped).
The above medicines are crushed and sifted into a powder. Take three qian per dose. Add one zhong of water and half a fen of fresh ginger, decoct until reduced to six parts. Strain out the dregs. Take warm after meals.
To treat Lung injury from wind-cold, presenting with clear rhinorrhea, headache and eye pain, and chest/diaphragm discomfort, it is appropriate to take Xixin San (Asarum Powder).

The above medicines are crushed and sifted into a powder. Take three qian per dose. Add one zhong of water and half a fen of fresh ginger, decoct until reduced to six parts. Strain out the dregs. Take warm after meals.
For treating clear rhinorrhea persisting for a long time without cessation, which is due to Lung deficiency and cold, with stagnation in the Heart and diaphragm, and unclear head/eyes, it is appropriate to take Baizhu San (Atractylodes Powder).
