Burn 5 qian of Schizonepetae Herba (Jingjie) to ash, mix with Allii Fistulosi Juice (Cong Zhi) for topical application. First wash the wound with a decoction of raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Sheng Gancao), then apply the dressing.

Alternatively, drill a hole in a white radish, insert 3 fen of Realgar (Xionghuang), steam until half-cooked, and place over the finger. Or chew real dried plum kernel (Wumeiren) and apply topically.
Also known as Onychocryptosis (Qianjia/Ingrown Nail), characterized by a piece of red flesh growing beside the nail and protruding.
Take 5 qian of Vitriol (Zao Fan) (grind into powder after cooling). First wash the sore with salt water, dry it, and apply the Vitriol powder. Wrap tightly with old silk cloth and change once daily. Alternatively, chew large Licorice Root (Gancao) until mushy and apply thickly to the lesion; change when dry.

After a few days, if the pain subsides, itching and pain may return (do not scratch with hands). Continue soaking in Fuzi decoction, or apply Fuzi slices mixed with 1 fen of Calomelas (Qingfen); it will surely heal.
